it's a no-kill animal shelter and basically you just walk up and write down your name and phone number and they give you treats, a few shitbags and a dog on a leash and say good luck.
They're all friendly enough animals insofar as they're not gonna bite you but they are varying levels of engaged and cool.
there's a fifty pound pitbull/bulldog mix named "fufu" and she is just the best. i call her the white torpedo because she likes to lunge madly at your knees.

there's a pitbull mix named Dominic, who's nice enough but the poor guy has digestive problems and sores all over his back and legs. he likes to run tho' so we've managed a complete circle of prospect park.

last trip, i got a mastiff mix named Hera who basically walked me. we did one block in a circle and she dragged me back to the shelter. no nonsense, that one.
