I smoked for 20 years, then quit, but an uptick in my social life has led to more drinking/going out, and I've been smoking when I drink. This has been bothering me a lot (health concerns mainly) so I got vape thingy and I like it! I was concerned that I would still want 'the real thing' on nights out, but I dont! The vape hits the spot.

I got a Moto Plus, very well reviewed and cheap @ $55. Ultra compact too. I don't think this model is widely available however.

I'm totally unselfconscioss about, probably bc I'm too old to give a f-

My main concern is that vaping will, beyond just replacing my occasional social smoking, get me really hooked on nicotine again. But hey, it's good by cigarettes and that's awesome.

Tried this again to wean off nicotine, discovered that most are sub-ohm resistance and designed for giant clouds of vapor. Got one with higher resistance and it actually feels like smoking a light cigarette rather than just a harsh irritation in my throat.

Still not willing to do this in public.

I'd consider this if it juice didn't come in such stupid flavors. I also feel like shopping around for a decent widget is impossible without ending up at sites that are basically the 2016 edition of spinning 3D fire skulls and blink tags

It's amazing the number of people who refuse to switch to ecigs because of image (association with fedora dudes/neckbeards etc). I still vape but can't help but feel selfconscious about it!

I can't do it in public because of the association but it's cut me back from a pack a day to one pack a week (and then only if I go to a bar one night).

i've switched to a small pellet that drops from a plastic tube fixed to a hat that i wear at all times. the hat dings to alert me that the pellet's coming, then i open my mouth and the pellet drops right in there.

i love the juul but I'm seemingly allergic and can only vape the mango and, to a lesser extent, mint flavours without coughing up a lung. as in with the tobacco flavoured one i cannot even get enough into my lungs to exhale any visible vapour without having a coughing fit like i just greened out smoking a gravity bong. oh well i would've gotten way more addicted than I've ever been to cigarettes, which I've hardly been smoking lately as I've cut down on booze massively

I dgaf about vape life, but I've had a Juul now for three weeks and haven't had or even wanted an actual cigarette in that whole time. I smoked all day every day for 26 years, so this thing has changed my life.

Hopefully I can wean myself off it by working down to 0% nicotine pods, but I'm setting that goal for six months out.

Anyway, yeah, Juul is rad if you're trying to kick cigarettes.

Can someone recommend a device that doesn't crap out within 3-4 months? The advantages of vaping as a way to maintain and not smoke are diminished by what is probably planned obsolesce but it'd be nice to not have to buy so many vessels until I can taper off of nicotine forever

I use an atlantis evo tank + eleaf istick. They've both held up for a couple of years w/ the usual minor maintenance.

im on that juul shit for the time being and since you end up throwing so much of it in the garbage all the time it's probably fairly fail-proof? idk it's been 2 weeks

slightly less wasteful way of using the juul: after they're finished you can pop open the pods and fill them with nicotine salts vape juice. can use a pod like maybe 3 or 4 times that way (also nic salts are cheaper than pods per volume). obviously fucking around with those things is probably not hugely advisable but seems fine

i got a lightly used pax (think it's the original pax not 2 or 3) from my gf's lil bro's partner because they stopped smoking weed a couple years ago and it was just lying around their apartment. it's great, and according to the receipt would've cost me > $200 canadian to be new so I'm pretty stoked

i also stopped vaping nicotine because i became a much bigger nicotine fiend than i ever was. back on the "few cigarettes when out drinking" bandwagon and feeling better for it tbh.
