this sd/den game is nuts. feel like 6pts has to be record lowest score for a team with 5 turnovers??

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 3 January 2016 23:20 (eight years ago) link

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 3 January 2016 23:31 (eight years ago) link

the only thing that could redeem this year's AFC playoffs for me is the return of peyton's noodle throws in subzero weather

J0rdan S., Sunday, 3 January 2016 23:32 (eight years ago) link

i guess the plan is now peyton is the starter again, just like that? what if he plays a subpar half of football, are they going to bench him again? is there a plan or are they going to have constant uncertainty going into playoffs

arts and crafts THIS GUY (daria-g), Sunday, 3 January 2016 23:37 (eight years ago) link

because i mean if peyton is the starter and was healthy enough to play all along why didn't he start the game

arts and crafts THIS GUY (daria-g), Sunday, 3 January 2016 23:37 (eight years ago) link

wild end to the raiders game, rly hoped they'd pull it out on KC but oh well

next rd matchups is such that both teams should compete hard to lose this one imo

johnny crunch, Monday, 4 January 2016 01:39 (eight years ago) link

jj hasn't been the same since that country band started bullying him in the locker room

no worries there. I get why the Packers would try to win because getting Minnesota at home is probably preferable to going to Washington, but if you're Minnesota you definitely would want to play the Packers again rather than having to face Seattle. they should've punted the game. not that it didn't seem like they were trying.

but not retired...

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 4 January 2016 19:40 (eight years ago) link

it kinda did look like minn were trying to throw that game away 4Q. when peterson spilled that ball forward on their last possession i was like REALLY?? except for how hard he tried, successfully, to recover.

i know small sample sizes etc but seattle exact same record home/road this season and they stomped the vikes in MN judt a few weeks back, so home field maybe not as much consolation to that tie as they might hope

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 4 January 2016 19:44 (eight years ago) link

I kind of don't see how any team other than Seattle or Carolina makes it out of the NFC

you're breaking the NAP (DJP), Monday, 4 January 2016 19:46 (eight years ago) link

cards?

Mordy, Monday, 4 January 2016 19:49 (eight years ago) link

yeah before yesterday I definitely thought Arizona were #1 in the NFC but now I'm not so sure

GB has been real depressing to watch this season, despite their 10-6 record it really feels like they are one of the worst offenses in the league sometimes. I've never been on the "fire McCarthy" bandwagon but watching him continue to establish the run in the 4th quarter while down by 17 was infuriating

frogbs, Monday, 4 January 2016 19:54 (eight years ago) link

i didn't watch the arizona game yesterday... they didn't sit starters?

Mordy, Monday, 4 January 2016 19:56 (eight years ago) link

Peterson's fumble was totally Bridgewater's fault; it's hard to secure a handoff that's delivered to your thigh.

xp I think they sat palmer when the writing on the wall became perfectly clear, other than that not sure

mostly agree w this. would be real interested to see carolina play this healthy arizona team (rather than the lindley version they got last wildcard round). still think panthers would win tho, and based on how wilson has looked in the 2nd half of the season idk who can really fuck with a fully operational seahawks

metro slothrop want some more (slothroprhymes), Monday, 4 January 2016 20:16 (eight years ago) link

(lol well except the rams who are not a factor here)

Just as a reminder...Coughlin does actually seem like a pretty good dude. Remember hearing about this story quite a few years ago.

I'll miss Coughlin, and I really can't see another team anywhere giving the wheel to a 70 year old head coach. He's probably coached his last NFL game. ;_;

I think Tom Coughlin might go back to coaching college football.
