I harrumphed about the board's collective addiction to challops in my ballot email to Mark and yet I rooted against a #1 placing for "Teen Spirit" (as you can see, the song still made my list). I don't exactly think SLTS is the sort of hit single that is unrepresentative of the band in general.

Oh, it's not unrepresentative, it's just that I've heard it that many times that it's gone a bit stale for me. That, and I think they have far better songs.

i don't dislike "You Know You're Right" but i kind of appreciate seeing, some years after all the hype that attended its release, that it's been more or less discarded as an inessential leftover and not The Great Lost Nirvana Single.
