Ah yeah! Fucking love overloaded bass sound on 'Breed' ... 'About a Girl' and 'Aneurysm' are both way too low, and YES! 'Frances Farmer...' in the Top 10!

This was my #19 and, not counting Unplugged, is my favourite album closer of theirs. I love the riff, the vocal melody, and the "all in all is all we are" outro. For some reason I've always heard a little bit of R.E.M. in this.

Oh god, yeah, this is miles better than 'Heart-Shaped Box', but then again pretty much the rest of In Utero is.

I was one of the FFWHHROS #1's.

FULL DISCLOSURE: I wrote out the full lyrics to it and a couple other songs on the covers of the three-ring binder I carried freshman year.

These last two were my #4 and #3. Love the drumming on In Bloom.

i voted for "Endless, Nameless," disappointed that it missed the top 40. one of the few famous hidden tracks of the CD era that i think makes for a really interesting, appropriate to the album and the 'true' closing track.

'Frances Farmer...' is an incredible song, definitely one of my all-time favourites. Love the chord progression in the verses!

XPS I think the others were "Blow Up The Outside World" and "Bullet With Butterfly Wings"...there was also a Nine Inch Nails logo.

I also voted for 'Endless, Nameless', but it's the one song on my ballot that I know isn't going to place at this stage. 18 of mine have now already placed, and I have a feeling that the remaining one will place quite soon.

"Frances Farmer" was my #1 too. In Utero pretty much feels like a perfect rock album for me but "Frances" is one song where every moment seems great.

Explosive intro, dynamite first line, perfectly timed little bursts of feedback, then that devastating chorus.

There was a 24 hour period towards the very end of the voting where this next one was #1.

I would have loved this to have been #1 more than any song that I know is going to follow, that's for sure! Still a little bit too high, though.

I remember the first time I heard 'On a Plain', the sudden vocal harmony on "love myself better than you" for me was just like "YEAH!"

Yeah, that's definitely a nice picked line (and I apparently actually have that album so I should probably just avoid talking about Dylan). Was Dylan playing it, though? Some writers credit Bruce Langhorne. I looked up a few live clips and saw Dylan strumming the chords in all of them.
