If only a Scottish team had recently shown that a Norwegian team was beatable in Europe.

two weeks pass...
one month passes...

that was a cracking game!

sktsh, Sunday, 27 December 2015 16:17 (eight years ago) link

Great high tempo inventive start that disappeared as soon as Hearts put one long ball behind our back fannies. I saw mostly negatives after that. I think I need to stop watching Deila's Celtic.

ilxors ananimus (onimo), Sunday, 27 December 2015 18:21 (eight years ago) link

Yeah you were completely on top first twenty minutes, but we came right back into it I thought. Gordon's save was terrific. Think a point each was about right.

sktsh, Sunday, 27 December 2015 19:03 (eight years ago) link

Aye, you were well worth the point - totally sussed out how to get in and around our pish defence. Didn't see last week's debacle, but I'm not a huge fan of watching Celtic these days.

ailsa, Sunday, 27 December 2015 21:30 (eight years ago) link

Why does the 'typical rangers fan' character on only an excuse have dreadlocks and two different coloured eyes? Are huns well known for dressing like the pimp from true romance? idgi!

sktsh, Friday, 1 January 2016 14:49 (eight years ago) link

That was odd. When they going to have Jonathan Watson taken out the back for a quiet word?

ailsa, Friday, 1 January 2016 17:16 (eight years ago) link

Absolutely. McAvennie still being his go-to guy in 2015 about sums it up.

sktsh, Friday, 1 January 2016 20:30 (eight years ago) link

has actual frank mcavennie even been near a tv studio in the last fifteen years or so?

At least he seems to have ditched Dennis Law

As a kid I only knew Dennis Law as an only an excuse character

Cuombas (jim in glasgow), Friday, 1 January 2016 22:31 (eight years ago) link

MacAvennie was on BT Sport the other night when I was in the pub.

ailsa, Saturday, 2 January 2016 03:03 (eight years ago) link

three weeks pass...

Rangers have signed Billy King! It had to happen.

ilxors ananimus (onimo), Friday, 29 January 2016 09:12 (eight years ago) link

Yeah, if ever a player was destined for Ibrox...

ailsa, Friday, 29 January 2016 10:53 (eight years ago) link

lol kickback's in a froth because the resident itker says we're freeing up a wage for a blockbuster signing. they've decided it's ryan gauld or o'halloran.

nominative determinism aside, it's quite a weird move though

sktsh, Friday, 29 January 2016 11:52 (eight years ago) link

Had completely forgotten Ryan Gauld existed.

ailsa, Friday, 29 January 2016 12:23 (eight years ago) link

Well, that was pish.

ailsa, Sunday, 31 January 2016 17:50 (eight years ago) link

judge me on next year's league cup etc

sktsh, Sunday, 31 January 2016 21:21 (eight years ago) link

Colin Kazim-Richards :-(

ailsa, Monday, 1 February 2016 19:28 (eight years ago) link

Celtic have signed Colin Kazim-Richards on a two and a half year deal.

Actually feel like the board are trolling at this point.

Cornelius Pardew (jim in glasgow), Monday, 1 February 2016 19:31 (eight years ago) link

This is probably unpopular with 99% of the support or so. Can't think of a less popular signing that Celtic have made in my entire life.

Cornelius Pardew (jim in glasgow), Monday, 1 February 2016 19:32 (eight years ago) link

It's conceivable that we might field an 11 featuring Carlton Cole and Colin Kazim-Richards. What a time to be alive.

Cornelius Pardew (jim in glasgow), Monday, 1 February 2016 19:45 (eight years ago) link

There have been a few head-scratchers (Willo Flood springs to mind), but aye, this is pretty much universally being derided on every forum/social media outlet I can see.

ailsa, Monday, 1 February 2016 19:47 (eight years ago) link

I assume we've long ditched the "projects" system in favour of young loanees and crap old hasbeens.

ailsa, Monday, 1 February 2016 19:50 (eight years ago) link

well Kazim-Richards, at 29, is in his prime. unfortunately it's his prime.

Cornelius Pardew (jim in glasgow), Monday, 1 February 2016 20:01 (eight years ago) link

Also, not sure he was ever been a been to now be a hasbeen. Anyway, he's crap and this is a really bad idea.

ailsa, Monday, 1 February 2016 20:02 (eight years ago) link

I can't even grammatically construct a sentence containing made-up grammar, that's how cross I am about this.

ailsa, Monday, 1 February 2016 20:03 (eight years ago) link

I have never heard of this guy but his stats don't look good.

Eyeball Kicks, Monday, 1 February 2016 20:26 (eight years ago) link

Brighton signed him off that "win a player for your club off a can of Coke" deal, so he was a wee bit high-profile for a white. He's a bit of tit, by all accounts.

ailsa, Monday, 1 February 2016 20:27 (eight years ago) link

For a while. I have completely forgotten how to type.

ailsa, Monday, 1 February 2016 20:28 (eight years ago) link

he also played for turkey in the euros in 2008 and got a lot of attention at that time due to the fact that he's english

Cornelius Pardew (jim in glasgow), Monday, 1 February 2016 20:29 (eight years ago) link

definitely remember him being ref'd on ilx for a while, especially wrt his name, when he plays for turkey they call him colin kazim kazim

Cornelius Pardew (jim in glasgow), Monday, 1 February 2016 20:31 (eight years ago) link

despite the fact that kazim was merely supposed to be his middle name, mistakenly registered as the first part of an erroneously double-barreled surname.

Cornelius Pardew (jim in glasgow), Monday, 1 February 2016 20:32 (eight years ago) link

Sounds a lovely chap though, eh?

I can't even.

I mean.

Fuckin

ilxors ananimus (onimo), Wednesday, 3 February 2016 22:48 (eight years ago) link

Look at this shite. Scotland's top two teams. Not a fucking player between them.

ilxors ananimus (onimo), Wednesday, 3 February 2016 23:02 (eight years ago) link

I thankfully never saw a second of the game, but I phoned my dad when I saw the score and my mum wouldn't let me speak to him because he'd only just got his heart rate and blood pressure back to an acceptable level (he'd turned off before the end and didn't know we'd scored, though I suspect my mum going "oh did it finish 2-1, that's not as bad" probably set him back off again).

I can't even summon enthusiasm for a proper moan. I just hate this and want it to stop. Manager, board, players, scouts, everyone. Just go away.

If it wasn't for Leigh Griffiths I couldn't watch this shower of shit.

Ad h (onimo), Sunday, 7 February 2016 16:15 (eight years ago) link

My post-match chat with my old man was basically "Do you have anything to say?" "No" "Me neither"

Was depressing as all fuck yesterday catching five minutes of the Southampton game. What I wouldn't give for a Wanyama or a van Dijk right now. Or even some sensible use of the money we got for them.

Yeah, it's some stockpile.

michaellambert, Saturday, 20 February 2016 16:02 (eight years ago) link

First home league win for Saints since the start of November, first league win overall since the start of December. Not a pretty game but at least we got something. Been brutal recently.

michaellambert, Saturday, 20 February 2016 17:08 (eight years ago) link

Saints almost salvaged my coupon. Hearts contriving to lose to the worst United team in decades beat me.

Ad h (onimo), Saturday, 20 February 2016 17:14 (eight years ago) link

Celtic's defence not being as crap as I think they are did for me.

ailsa, Saturday, 20 February 2016 19:22 (eight years ago) link

two weeks pass...

best beloved bearded mercurial Hellenic "striker" georgios samaras is moving to the nasl - the second tier of north american "soccer" - specifically an expansion team called Rayo OKC, owned by the owner of Rayo Vallecano

I didn't realise how hard he tried for us until I watched the shower of meh fucks we have now.
