whoa, 6.66 y/a for Luck. that's not a good sign.
― frogbs, Friday, 30 October 2015 15:42 (eight years ago) link
remember when andrew luck was for sure gonna be the mvp this year, that was a funny thing ppl said
― slothroprhymes, Friday, 30 October 2015 15:44 (eight years ago) link
remember when andrew luck was a sure fire all time great even tho projecting quarterbacks coming out of college is notoriously impossible
― lag∞n, Friday, 30 October 2015 15:45 (eight years ago) link
haha you'd think people would learn after something as recent as SANCHIZE PT. 1, but nah
― slothroprhymes, Friday, 30 October 2015 15:49 (eight years ago) link
luck is really good and yet still overrated, he's also playing hurt behind a joke of a line right now
― call all destroyer, Friday, 30 October 2015 15:58 (eight years ago) link
Sanchize was never rated that high
Luck is still really good and will be in the league another decade, clearly having a down year but he's the least of that team's problems
― frogbs, Friday, 30 October 2015 16:00 (eight years ago) link
agrre luck is good but his career arc is looking much more like very good qb than alltime great, tho theres def still time for him to change that trajectory
― lag∞n, Friday, 30 October 2015 16:04 (eight years ago) link
the colts are a truly awful organization and the head needs to be cut off entirely. pagano is bad, irsay is bad, and grigson is worst of all.
regardless of this season luck is and has been great with nothing going on with the rest of the team at all. the prospects of that team getting to the level where they might win something is so remote right now.
― Roberto Spiralli, Friday, 30 October 2015 16:38 (eight years ago) link
the comparison to favre has been made before but he might be more favre than favre. 45 TD / 23 INT seasons are in this guy's future.

that was the most giants play a few min agofourth down, eli running away from defenders and everything falling apart, throws wildly toward the middle of the end zone.. of course that's going to be a touchdown

49-42 giants with 7:11 to go after a fumble return for a td

I was a year early on the Derek Carr thing I guess.
Pretty crazy how the Texans' draft decisions appear to have changed two franchises that year.
― Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 1 November 2015 23:06 (eight years ago) link
not sure there is an active qb i would want less to run a 2 min offense than cassell
― Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 2 November 2015 00:38 (eight years ago) link
I've been saying all week this was the game that was going to make Denver's offense look competent, veteran QBs just shred Green Bay. I have no idea how they were #1 in points allowed.
― frogbs, Monday, 2 November 2015 03:34 (eight years ago) link
and on the flipside some really poor offensive football by the packers
― call all destroyer, Monday, 2 November 2015 03:36 (eight years ago) link
they are getting shredded on the ground as well. and very little pressure on manning. looks like a different defense out there than the rest of the season. otoh, denver offense looks significantly better. not sure if it is one or the other, prob both. on the other side, gb offense still a little off but the broncos defense continuing to be p sick.
― Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 2 November 2015 03:39 (eight years ago) link
they're more than a little off, they have nothing quick they can reliably go to that will take some of the pressure away.
― call all destroyer, Monday, 2 November 2015 03:41 (eight years ago) link
yeah I wouldn't see a game vs GB as evidence that their offense is back on track (see: Philip Rivers) but man Denver looks pretty scary if the O becomes about league average
that said - something seems off with Rodgers, maybe the whole year. was surprised to find they were only 22nd in passing offense coming into the game. maybe losing Jordy really is that big of a deal
― frogbs, Monday, 2 November 2015 03:44 (eight years ago) link
well not just Rodgers (though he is missing open throws), his receivers (mostly Adams) just don't seem to be where he wants them
when they started this game they were trying to do all this slow-developing downfield shit, it's the wrong type of offense for both the team they have and the team they're playing.
― call all destroyer, Monday, 2 November 2015 03:45 (eight years ago) link
yeah that's what happens when you can't protect your QB for half a second

this was pretty insane btw
― lag∞n, Monday, 2 November 2015 16:08 (eight years ago) link
i feel like wrt Luck + Rodgers + Peyton sometimes etc the truth is that no QB (except Brady?) is good enough to be fantastic all the time. they all have down games + down seasons etc. which makes me feel like a lot of the hysteria over unproven qbs not playing well is maybe misplaced? like there's all these complaints about how hs/college does not prepare qbs for pro game but maybe there's just not enough patience?
― Mordy, Monday, 2 November 2015 16:16 (eight years ago) link
like i can only imagine if luck or rodgers were qbs in philly (which would be so wonderful) that we'd be calling for their backups already which is pretty dumb and maybe we should give bradford a chance idk philly fans are the worst esp those that call into WIP.
― Mordy, Monday, 2 November 2015 16:17 (eight years ago) link
bradford is very bad tbf
― lag∞n, Monday, 2 November 2015 16:18 (eight years ago) link
denver defense looking fairly insurmountable atm; broncs/pats game should be epic
― a llove spat over a llama-keeper (forksclovetofu), Monday, 2 November 2015 16:19 (eight years ago) link
who really knows tho what that means. sometimes (like during the preseason) he looks unbelievably sharp and makes amazing throws. and other times he's a turnover machine + a total injury mess. i'm not saying that he's definitely anything special but ppl def lack patience for qbs in this league.
