Giants 3-2 leading the NFC lEAST, kinda funny considering how it started.

Cowboys are proof how big a drop off you get after losing a good QB. Doubt it will make much difference with the mouthbreathers who lay in that Romo is the reason the Cowboys are not a dynasty.

Giants could've won the two games they lost if they hadn't bumbled around and given them away.

Johnny Fever, Monday, 12 October 2015 07:26 (eight years ago) link

Hard to lose vs. NO the way they did but even with Romo I dunno if they're beating the Falcons or the Patriots. Worst thing about the Romo injury is it comes at a really brutal point in their schedule. Either way NYG is gonna run away with this division, which as a Packer fan scares me. As JF mentioned they could easily be 5-0 right now.

frogbs, Monday, 12 October 2015 14:08 (eight years ago) link

if they were 5-0 we'd be talking about how easily they could be 2-3, so let's not get carried away. a poor niners team crossed coasts and got made to look competent in this game. as a packers fan you should be pleased that this is the kind of tam you are supposed to be worried about, pack is considerably better on o and d.

Oh yes GB is the better team but NYG have delivered two pretty rough playoff losses to us. That 15-1 year followed by a first-round home loss really stung.

Not convinced that the 49ers are that awful. If Kaepernick is playing decent I think they could be 8-8. I don't wanna suggest the Giants are a top-5 team but the East is theirs to lose, and obviously they have that history of playing better as the season wears on. Denver is the team that I have no idea what to make of right now, Peyton looks terrible, though you can feel confident as a Denver fan b/c I don't think he can play any WORSE and they're still 5-0. Nov 1 vs GB should reveal a lot.

Oof! Daniel Fells's MRSA infection was so bad that the doctors have removed parts of his foot and may have to amputate it. His career is over. :(

Really awful news. I just hope it doesn't get any worse for his sake. MRSA is scary

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 13 October 2015 03:36 (eight years ago) link

didn't tirico say run a qb sneak then call time out and kick if it didn't work? there's no way you can do that in six seconds

seriously, THIS GUY (daria-g), Tuesday, 13 October 2015 03:37 (eight years ago) link

gruden said sneak i think. bell had too much time to dance, gotta run something faster.

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 13 October 2015 03:38 (eight years ago) link

yeah I'd worry with a QB sneak since the refs usually take a second or two to figure out when the guy's down given that they're such a pile. I was thinking snap and quick throw.

frogbs, Tuesday, 13 October 2015 03:41 (eight years ago) link

yeah quick throw is a low-percentage play given how inaccurate vick is but it's maybe the only safe choice

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 13 October 2015 03:43 (eight years ago) link

Pittsburgh's schedule is pretty brutal. I can't see them hanging with the Bengals for the division at this point. Other than a beat up KC, which really isn't a nancy, their schedule is nasty as heck especially with Cleveland and Oaktown playing competitive.

earlnash, Tuesday, 13 October 2015 04:13 (eight years ago) link

Cincy right now looks pretty good, they really don't have any part of their game that looks weak. I wish they were playing Green Bay or NE to really 'know' how they are doing, but they look good.

earlnash, Tuesday, 13 October 2015 04:22 (eight years ago) link

I feel like Dalton's turned a corner. yeah, he did make a dumb throw against Seattle but it really tells you more about your QB when he can rebound from that and lead a nice 17 point comeback.

I mean plus it's the Bengals - they've gotta be fuckin' due to advance this year

Hammer Smashed Bagels, Tuesday, 13 October 2015 05:29 (eight years ago) link

bengals do look like the real deal. after taking a step back with zimmer's departure the defense looks at good at it has been. and the offense, the perennial paper bengal, actually looks ok, with both talent and depth/redundancy that they haven't had in recent memory. overall they just feel different from the team that has always been 1-2 injuries away from unraveling in previous years. there is a v reasonable chance they won't even play a wildcard game to lose in, which could be the secret. i like them more than denver right now, and if that pass rush holds up through the season i'd be p uncomfortable about the pats playing them in a single elim game.
