This season has been pretty great so far. When Charlie and Sweet Dee are in a scene together, my heart sings.

one month passes...

This might be the greatest scene I've ever witnessed on television:

Johnny Fever, Thursday, 13 November 2008 14:36 (eleven years ago) link

Love the scene earlier in that episode when Charlie is explaining to Mac his system for sorting the mail.

BODY PROP (nickalicious), Thursday, 13 November 2008 20:55 (eleven years ago) link

"Who Pooped the Bed?" is an incredible episode. WOLF HAIR.

BODY PROP (nickalicious), Thursday, 13 November 2008 20:56 (eleven years ago) link

I've been a little disappointed with the last few weeks of episodes. The first set of episodes was pretty great, though - it all kind of peaked with "Mac & Charlie Die". I have to admit that scene above in the mailroom was amazing, though.

Nhex, Thursday, 13 November 2008 21:00 (eleven years ago) link

Tonight was fucking incredible. I didn't actually hear anything they said during the home invasion scene over my own laughter; all I really remember of it was Dennis holding the boombox.

BODY PROP (nickalicious), Friday, 14 November 2008 07:46 (eleven years ago) link

Charlie Kelly is inarguably one of my 5 favorite television characters of all time right behind John Locke and Patrick Star.

BODY PROP (nickalicious), Friday, 14 November 2008 07:47 (eleven years ago) link

Charlie's final song of the Nightman play was one of the most touching things I've ever heard...seriously.

BODY PROP (nickalicious), Friday, 21 November 2008 08:11 (eleven years ago) link

I was so tired I crashed about halfway through the episode last night...and it was the season finale!!

Johnny Fever, Friday, 21 November 2008 14:22 (eleven years ago) link

I was laughing so hard at Charlie's awful singing in that last song, I could only make out half the words. I loved how the episode starts off with him asking why for one week, they can't not have some kind of devious plan or not try to screw someone over.

Nhex, Friday, 21 November 2008 14:33 (eleven years ago) link

oh man that was fucking amazing. charlie is the greatest protagonist we have ever known.

cutty, Friday, 21 November 2008 14:33 (eleven years ago) link

it wasn't this season's best by any stretch, but still v funny. i was watching it with some folks who weren't familiar withh Day Man/ Night Man, so i think they were a little dissapointed after gettting into it this season.

i also want to say that Mac, who was probably my least favorite character in the first couple of seasons, has landed just under Charlie as the best imo.

cutty, Friday, 21 November 2008 14:39 (eleven years ago) link

i loved when the gladys told charlie to shhhh

cutty, Friday, 21 November 2008 14:39 (eleven years ago) link

cutty OTM with the penguin

Also Charlie's singing was amazing and weird at the same time. And that yellow suit holy crap that was amazing. He was like Willy Wonka on whippets.

The bit with Charlie at the end is probably my favorite moment in this whole series. For a split second the waitress is wide-eyed and astonished and Charlie has the world in the palm of his hand. Surreal and wonderful.

Green Man and the dumpster episodes are numbers two and three.

Adam Bruneau, Saturday, 22 November 2008 18:55 (eleven years ago) link

^^^ Green Man OTM! I think this may be my favorite IASIP scene thusfar (shit transfer, but whatevs):

S03E07, apparently. I wonder why I wouldn't have recognized him.

Johnny Fever, Monday, 13 April 2009 21:03 (ten years ago) link

is this show still on, and should i watch it?

Ømår Littel (Jordan), Monday, 13 April 2009 21:31 (ten years ago) link

some of the episodes are really really funny. i just bought the season 1/2 set at target for $13 and i've been watching it ... the early episodes are a little shaky, but it eventually gets kind of brilliant

congratulations (n/a), Monday, 13 April 2009 21:33 (ten years ago) link

i think it's still on but i don't have cable so i'm not sure

congratulations (n/a), Monday, 13 April 2009 21:33 (ten years ago) link

In between seasons right now, I think they're signed on for at least one or two more.

mh, Monday, 13 April 2009 21:34 (ten years ago) link

Yes, pls watch. Although Hulu cut it down to 5 episodes from the whole series at a time, vs. having most seasons up for viewing at any time (they've done this with a lot of shows). Most of them are on DVD, though, and it's worth a Netflix rental starting from the first episodes.

Dennis was in Crank, playing the nervous doctor before Jason Statham electrocuted himself on purpose.

throwbookatface (skygreenleopard), Monday, 13 April 2009 21:37 (ten years ago) link

Some episodes are shaky, but when this show is good it is fucking awesome.

i saw a couple episodes last year and remember liking it, although i was convinced that charlie (i think) was the same dude as the stoner kid from undeclared.

On St Patrick's Day there was a dude wearing a Green Man suit! My friend took my picture with him! She needs to send it to me already.

Johnny Fever, Thursday, 17 September 2009 23:23 (ten years ago) link

Was excited about the comedy tv I watched tonight, then I remember that Sunny makes everything else weaksauce by comparison.

The Waiter would now be in the list of side characters poll if done again.

'The Gang Chokes' and 'Dee Day' where both pretty good and tie back well into previous episodes if you are a fan.
