Yes. An embarassment of riches. Like maybe the best DJ mix albums I've heard.

one year passes...

Still can't believe this thread is the only place the Sound Concierge albums have been discussed (and that there's no Fantastic Plastic Machine thread at all). Listening to Sound Concierge #702 right now and it is so mind-blowingly good. I do kind of unreservedly love everything Tomoyuki Tanaka has been involved with, though.

Have 401 and 403 on their way to me. The ones with more dance music look less appealing. I found Hiroshi Fujiwara - Hiroshi's Kick Back (Private Mix) Vol.1 and 2 secondhand. Well recommended.

Crue-L Future, Post Newnow - Crue-L Classic Remixes Vol.II and Crue-L Café good in a modern disco/Balearic way.

Also probably not what you're looking for but there is an amazing series documenting the Japanese psychedelic noise underground called
Tokyo Flashback. I think it's up to Vol.10 or so now. Anyway, I freaking LOVE 'em.

Tokyo Flashback comps look interesting. I guess they aren't available to stream anywhere. I have this, but not played it yet..

I bought this recently, off the back of the awesome Even A Tree Can Shed tears comp on Light In The Attic which opened up a whole new world of stuff to explore.

Not listened yet as it's only just arrived, but is there any chance some kind soul could provide romanised versions of the track titles? Would make further exploration a hell of a lot easier...

Lovin' Mighty Fire is great, some fantastic stuff on there.

Just ordered Throw Away Your CDs - I really enjoyed Quit Your Band (the book Iain Martin wrote about the Japanese underground) last year, so intrigued to hear the compilation.
