kind of dumb how if the team from the winners bracket loses to the team from the losers bracket in the final they have to go home even tho both teams have one loss

Mets and Phillies will be playing in Williamsport next Sunday night

Syndergaard says he’s excited to play in Williamsport, but hopefully ‘none of those kids have hand, foot, and mouth disease’

The names of the Curacao players in the Little League World Series are lyrical, almost poetic: Deshandro Tromp, Curley Martha, Furgentley Jamanica, Fran-J Confesor, I-Zion Mogen, Pe.son Revierre -- and managed, of course, by Michelangelo Celestina

My friends' nephew went 2/5 last night (2 doubles) but with his speed he stretched 2 infield grounders into forced errors pulling the 1B off the bag. Big win for the underdogs to advance to the (USA) final.

After golf, we were in a bar watching the Hawaii-Virginia game last night. The guy beside me said he played in the 1952 Series in Williamsport, on a team out of Toronto's High Park. I asked him if played against anyone notable, but he couldn't remember anybody.

That was the game I was watching as well.

Thanks! Will print that off and take it to golf next week. I would have seen your friend's nephew...I assume Hawaii went on to win? They had a big lead when I left.

Yeah, he bats 4th or 6th depending on who's pitching.

Forgot to mention that he stole home as well:

I was thinking about the guy from golf, and he has to have that year wrong. If he played in '52 as a 12-year-old, he'd be 79. I golfed with him yesterday--besides the fact that he didn't look 79 (maybe mid-'60s), and besides the fact that he scored well (~40 for 9), he was hitting the ball 200+ off the tee. 79-year-olds don't do that.
