Christ I know nothing about this band but that made me tear up like nothing else, it hits so close to home having a partner to whom guitar playing is his life. I feel for her so fucking much.

If you actually hear the music it gets even sadder. Stuff is of beautiful obsession. Hopefully it'll get discovered by a wider audience at some point and they'll get their dues.

I only heard the album after Ned's initial post, but yeah, horribly heartbreaking

it is sad that we won't get to hear him evolve even more as an artist, but of course the real tragedy is those he left behind. RIP, and best wishes to those who knew him.

Oddly enough I found a copy of Coma Waering in the clearance section at Amoeba SF. Two bucks or something similar.

Funny, I noticed a $2.99 copy of this album last week in a local shop. Going back to poke around this afternoon. Worth picking up, I take it, if I'm generally into stuff along the Nadja/Jesu axis?

I think they also had Weighing Souls with Sand for, like, $5.99 or something.

I still harbor some guilt for passing on them as booking clients. They were after me and I really liked them... :(

Coma Waering was first released on Paradigms Records in 2006 on cd, but was never released on vinyl. Our sublabel Roadburn Records already released the last The Angelic Process Album Weighing Souls With Sand on double vinyl back in 2007.

This disc features the album Solipsistic that was never officially released by the band, but which was issued in a very small run that was sent to a handful of labels and associates of the band.
The disc is packaged simply in a jewelcase with a very simple printed cover that just has the track listing, title, and catalog number.
