I lived in the Dominican Republic for a short time and could not leave my front door without getting whistles, comments, declarations of love, etc. Voluminous clothing and covered legs did me no good. I could have been hideously ugly and gotten the same attention--it was just the culture, and the novelty of my pale skin. The admiration felt less valid that way.

Usually, I don't know whether men typically find me attractive, but when they do, I'm complimented. It would be nice to be considered especially attractive, but I suppose it would depend on how it was expressed. I wouldn't really want to deal with pigs/assholes/stalkers.

It would drive me nuts to be attracted to all guys.

And guess what? I was ego-surfing last night!

What did I find? That someone with my name who looks like Melanie C with shorter hair works for Glamour Model Talent, Inc. And we're the same height. All my other measurements are bigger, though, cuz I'm a fat pig. Anyway, isn't that dreadfully fascinating and informative?
