think the promoter was way out of line there btw - sounds like a fairly dire performance but surely the audience could decide for themselves whether or not to sit through it.

promoter comes across as a total douche but he sounds a bit worked up so maybe he'd had a bad day

I did wonder, there are bad performances, there are dull performances, and there's no unanimosity as to what either are.

I heard similar horror stories about his Nottingham show, not long ago. Late, off his face, barely able/willing to perform, mass walkouts, Internet outrage from hacked off punters.

not his first assault either? I kinda want to feel sorry for him and the way his later years have been presented in the media as "lol remember him look what he's up to now!" but it's hard when he seems like a bit of a scumbag.
