for all the exxxtreme-to-the-maxxxx action on display in this trailer i bet there's nothing as exciting as the sequence in the original where keanu chases swayze on foot over fences and thru alleys and houses, which remains fucking amazing

also this luke bracey guy does an amazing job of sucking the life from the screen every time he appears on it

i think my first mobile phone was an ericsson core btw

swayze at one point throws a pit bull at keanu, which almost makes up for zero dark

as i recall that chase just goes on forever and it's great.

watched this tonight, man I forgot how stupid the second half is. it's about on par with a 70s doctor who episode in terms of plot.

that was a first-rate chase

some of the dialogue is kind of pernicious. it's pretty much an exercise in exuberance and style, and everything else is just wasted motion.

Christmas is still a massive movie-going day in the US, as is Thanksgiving. A great way to pass a couple hours with family; nobody is allowed to talk.

I just googled when it was released on VHS and one of the questions google suggested was, "is Point Break based on a true story?"

I just caught the second half of this last night. Loling at the part where the Ex-Presidents are so radical that when it comes time to make a bonfire, they don't open the container of lighter fluid, but stick a butterfly knife in it. Seems like a terrible bonfire/great way to set yourself on fire.
