nothing here is ever wasted
as aflers appreciate stylings of rik e boy, ozymandias,
so others, years hence, will look upon yr unacknowledged posts & sigh

drash, Sunday, 12 July 2015 12:36 (eight years ago) link

btw def see young charles ii resemblance
have you ‘always’ favored long locks or is this more recent discrete stage, maybe narrativizable, in unfolding of life/hair style?

not a question you need answer

my own head of hair often about length of yours
but during the day usually kept in messy spanish or topknot bun
assume you must tie yr hair back sometimes too
sometimes consider chopping it all off

(sorry for boring unisex hair talk; i’m bored & nursing semi-hangover)

drash, Sunday, 12 July 2015 12:44 (eight years ago) link

I've worn it long since around age 17/18, cut it all off at 19/20 & immediately regretted & grew back (luckily it grew quickly). Probably won't cut it off again until I feel I have to due to receding hairline or whatever. Honestly kinda feel it's too nice to wear short.

(I make a lot of jokey comments about how amazing my hair is but in truth it's the only part of my appearance I'm really happy with; also, it + facial hair comprise an instant "look" w/o my having to make any real effort, even if that look entails ppl shouting D'Artagnan/Jesus/Che/&c at me on the street)

Only tie it back when I have to really, ie certain procedures at work & insufflation of powders, which latter I don't really do anymore

"d'artagnan!" ha
it is amazing & will look regal as it greys

A: But not even your vessel. It’s the thing. The body is the mind. The mind is housed, as far as we know, within an organ—the brain. The brain is part of the body. And when people speak about the soul, they are speaking about certain sensations that they feel as a result of nerves and other organ systems within the body.

basically redefining body to mean person

four years pass...

glad you asked sarahell

I change my screen name every time a ridiculous play on words comes to me, no matter how long I’ve had my current one. Some of them are classic. (A lot of them are classic)

This is my process

Don’t believe in labouring over puns, I feel like it goes against what makes them pleasurable
