Haven't heard this since 199?-whatever. A quick run through the amazon.com samples reminds me I used to listen to "Digging the Grave" a lot while delivering pizzas.

The Gentle Art Of Making Enemies.

Saw them on their 1997 tour, they were still awesome even though the momentum had waned.

"gentle art" although yeah I think this is a brilliant album. i didn't pick up on them during angel dust or whatever but this was my jam in 95 or whenever it came out

Still my favorite of theirs and I think it's 100% because Trey Spruance plays on it. "Cuckoo for Caca" got the young dumb me where I needed to go back in the day, but I think I'll vote for the title track today.

not a very good album. hmmm, haven't listened in a few years, so it's a bit strange looking over these tracks that i used to know so well and feeling totally removed them. the track i regard the most favourably these days might even be 'digging the grave'. used to love the track 'king for a day', but i think of it now as a bit gimmicky and forced.

Cuckoo for Caca all the way. You can tell it's Patton wanting to be Patton. YEEEEEAAAAAGGGHHHH

ten years pass...

I think the work from home delirium is finally kicking in. Sitting here listening to this album and turning every song into an ad jingle. 'Evidence' into 'Efferdent', 'What a Day' into 'One a Day' (for the good people at Centrum). It's sick. It's just sick.

one year passes...

Increasingly I think the answer might be The Last to Know. Just an excellent hard rock song, and I'm sad it didn't get any votes.
