#wegonnabechampionship (Spottie), Wednesday, 15 April 2015 03:20 (nine years ago) link

lag∞n, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 03:21 (nine years ago) link

#wegonnabechampionship (Spottie), Wednesday, 15 April 2015 03:21 (nine years ago) link

derailed by injuries and/or rondo

Clay, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 03:22 (nine years ago) link

k3vin k., Wednesday, 15 April 2015 03:23 (nine years ago) link

slothroprhymes, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 03:23 (nine years ago) link

#wegonnabechampionship (Spottie), Wednesday, 15 April 2015 03:24 (nine years ago) link

lag∞n, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 03:25 (nine years ago) link

i mean they still prob wont get in

lag∞n, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 03:25 (nine years ago) link

Both teams were just playing absolute junk out there

#wegonnabechampionship (Spottie), Wednesday, 15 April 2015 03:26 (nine years ago) link

lester hudson is the most "bass player for a funk band" name imaginable

Clay, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 03:27 (nine years ago) link

ugh the corpse of OKC and the juiceman are not gonna be a fun watch

slothroprhymes, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 03:27 (nine years ago) link

pelis are not beating the spurs tomorrow no, so it's down to westbrook not shitting the bed against the twolves tomorrow

kevin harlan describing the fall of the Suns with such poetry

slothroprhymes, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 03:31 (nine years ago) link

if minny wins tomorrow they will tie the knicks for worst record so they will prob be trying to lose rip pelicans

lag∞n, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 03:34 (nine years ago) link

here's a question: which franchise is run more poorly and/or has made worse decisions - OKC or pelis?

slothroprhymes, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 03:36 (nine years ago) link

pelis made win-now moves and kinda look bad rn plus Monty williams, OKC has kinda been poorly run and coached for years but are bailed out by their absurd talent + made a few good recent moves to make presti look good. it's kind of a toss up

slothroprhymes, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 03:38 (nine years ago) link

its tuff to say okc had prob the all time great run in the draft but on the other hand they traded james harden, pelis are just like a normal boring poorly run team

lag∞n, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 03:39 (nine years ago) link

Reggie is so stupid

#wegonnabechampionship (Spottie), Wednesday, 15 April 2015 03:41 (nine years ago) link

monty & brooks pretty much on the same level, but brooks seems to have his hooks deeper in the organization. monty will prob get chopped this summer.

balls, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 03:43 (nine years ago) link

they're so similar in that they're great coaches of players, like they really care about them as people but are sort of lost regarding au courant basketball IQ

slothroprhymes, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 03:45 (nine years ago) link

yeah monty was an assistant under nate mcmillan and there's years of me bitching about nate's aggressively anti-intellectual stuck in the 90's approach to the game

Clay, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 03:49 (nine years ago) link

bitching *on ilh* i should say.

Clay, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 03:50 (nine years ago) link

OMG CHUCK IS SO STUPID :/

slothroprhymes, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 03:50 (nine years ago) link

that isn't a novel statement and doesn't deserve all caps but he just said deandre was the clips best player

slothroprhymes, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 03:51 (nine years ago) link

i think hibachi or cad once asked me what i thought about mcmillan in the first year portland was doing pretty good with roy & aldridge and i'd had a couple beers and wrote like a 6,000 word post about how severely i disagree w/ like every basketball decision mcmillan had ever made

Clay, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 03:52 (nine years ago) link

lol

lag∞n, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 03:56 (nine years ago) link

following the battle for the 7/8 seed in the east the past few weeks (partly cuz i want the nets in the lottery, partly cuz i want to be able to see someone interesting/entertaining) has really really driven home for me how bad the east is. curious if thibs ends up in new orleans. orlando would be an interesting fit but supposedly billy donovan is going to finally take that job.

balls, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 03:56 (nine years ago) link

keep thibs away from brow plz he is too precious

lag∞n, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 03:57 (nine years ago) link

yeah what anthony davis really needs is spending his early twenties averaging 46 minutes per game on a 46 win team.

Clay, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 03:59 (nine years ago) link

yeah i thought that too. trying to think of other locations he could land. maybe he just stays in chicago.

balls, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 04:02 (nine years ago) link

the suns' level of DGAF in this game is almost admirable the dedication is so complete

slothroprhymes, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 04:10 (nine years ago) link

like a samurai preparing for seppuku

slothroprhymes, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 04:11 (nine years ago) link

Clay, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 04:12 (nine years ago) link

crazy that on the eve of the last day of the season the only thing we know is the eastern conference 2 vs 7 matchup.

Clay, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 05:32 (nine years ago) link

Pretty cool

The D League allowing teams to pick who they face in the playoffs, is that an experiment to see if they could use it in the NBA or just a D league 'fun' thing? I like the idea of the team the Warriors/Hawks choose to face feeling extra slighted. Like especially if the Warriors were to pick the Rockets or something crazy.

pandemic, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 11:45 (nine years ago) link

hmm. if playoff teams are sometimes doing things like resting starters or going half-assed to move their seeding down and get more favorable matchups anyway, why not allow top seeds this privilege in the first place?

slothroprhymes, Wednesday, 15 April 2015 12:17 (nine years ago) link

obviously this wouldn't be quite the same thing & teams with lower playoff berths would prob still do the late-season shrug from time to time, but if you dominate as thoroughly as the dubs have why not have the preordained right to potentially breeze through the first round? maybe it shouldn't just be for 1-seeds tho, maybe only if you are #1 and also won like over 60 games. so last year's indy would be exempt (and rightfully so imo the wheels so clearly fell off that cart, or rather poor hibbert meekly, depressively pulled them off the cart with tears in his eyes)
