feel like they could maybe weather the beverley thing if dwight comes back and fortifies the back line and they can find a few guys to make shots off the ball but yeah it's not promising

like the warriors could weather an injury to one of their secondary guys but the rockets are already so thin as it is

paul's teams have not done much in the playoffs but they've generally been lower seeded so it's not exactly shocking. and yeah, you look at their roster and you don't believe they are a real contender, but then you realize they have the best offense in the league and the 2nd best point differential. they have as good a shot as anyone. their roster certainly isn't worse than houston's, and somehow that team is the 2 seed right now

Maybe your estimate of the team with the better record not having a superior roster is incorrect.

As for all teams crashing in the playoffs until they don't, tell that to the KG Timberwolves, the Payton Sonics etc etc

the point is you can't say there's something inherent to paul's game that's keeping his teams out of the finals. if it happens it happens, if it doesn't it doesn't. it's certainly not his fault

i don't think the majority of people would take the clips over the spurs right now. as i mentioned the hollinger odds don't know that the spurs are just recently pulling it together

two of my colleagues from india arrived this past weekend and have to stay in suburban new hampshire for the week. i asked them what they did on sunday and they were like "we ate at chili's." i really didn't have a place to take that particular line of conversation.

refs had to reviews a play in a the 4th quarter of a blowout in this phx/portland game and the announcers were kinda running out of stuff to say. they cut to the secaucus replay command center and the play by play guy says "you know, if you like hoops and computers and stuff that'd be a good job to have" and i was like **NODS**

at celtics-hornets someone in the audience (in charlotte) in the first row was out of their seat for the final 2 mins and like p much standing on the court, the mics were picking up his arguments with every foul call, c'mon charlotte can't you lock that shit down
