They seem to be hot-shotting Bálor lately, so I feel like it'll most likely be him. Adrian Neville's debut was pretty underwhelming to me, but I never really cared about him, so that might be part of it.

where's none of the above?

You don't think one of these guys will ever be heavy weight champion?
― Mordy, Friday, 3 April 2015 01:01 (nine years ago) link
nope.

I loved neville's first match. Absolutely no axel offence so that was about as fast as ive ever seen a wrestler move. He was fucking lightning. Wish he had commentary to put him over but lol raw.
Having only one title now, and especially having brock and the past two manias make it such a big fucking deal has paid off big time. I could quite easily see most of this list having been smackdown champ once upon a time but now? Now its balor (if he can harness some character outside the make up), sami as bryan pt 2, or owens as vader. Realistically its not gonna be for like another 3 years and steen is a readymade cena wm opponent very similar to bray and rusev have been, so i think he'll get pushed quickly and p easily.

it's going to be kevin owens

oh boy, i guess everything points in that direction, doesn't it?
i loved that he won but i found the match a bit boring. too many 2.9 kick outs, kind of reminded me of brock-taker but that was dull too. like 'THIS. IS. IMPORTANT. THIS. IS. WHY. WE. DO. IT. THIS. WAY.' type booking. Still had a hell of a smile on my face since though.
but also... its a good fucking debut and thats it. the title is shield/brock for at least another year. and by summerslam 2016 a hell of a lot could happen. i presume the aim is owens v. zayn at wm32? but then again everyone is talking about how big the stadium is to fill, bringing back ridiculous amounts of stars etc. so maybe even later. and wyatt/rusev have proved its sometimes quite hard to come out of a big man vs john cena fued as big as you were going in to it.
still, i voted owens and im sticking with it. wm35, kevin steen (c) v royal rumble winner sami zayn *fingers crossed, knowing it'll never happen*
----
can we talk about how finn balor doesn't really have a character? he's got some paint, he'll get in some paint to fight you (with all the same moves he'll use in paintless fights) and... he was mates with itami.

really hope cena doesn't kill owens 3 PPVs in a row. it CAN'T happen, but it also totally can.
streaks are the worst but i kinda hope he stays undefeated until sami's healthy, and then he comes up ASAP and does it. what better way to establish NXT stars as the real thing?

and i like finn's "well-dressed soft-spoken dude who can summon a demon don't worry about it just nod and smile" character

ez snappin otm itt i fear, i spose Kevin Owens might get a turn at some point, perhaps in 5/6 years once Lesnar has gotten bored and Cena and Orton are irreparably broken and they need someone semi-credible to feud with Roman Reigns through September and October

Would rather see Tyler Breeze and/or Sami Zayn get a main-event shot than Finn Balor, who is about as boring as it as possible to be and still have the internet wrestling hivemind on your side, here's hoping that the incoming Bullet Club / Balor Club thing makes him at least semi-interesting to watch

i assume that the big raw belt counts, and 14/16 of you were correct or almost-correct
i think i voted for sami but i voted with my HEART
