more than life?

Not that much. I wouldn't mind them as much if people didn't go on about how great they were all the time.

My friend made me try this 'dessert' sushi that involved eel and banana. I can say with some authority now that sushi, nor eel, is not improved by the addition of a banana. Nor is banana improved by the addition of eel.

Let me be clear: Eel and banana cannot hang out together in my mouth, or anywhere near me, EVER again.

You guys, seriously...you have no idea how traumatic this experience was for my tastebuds. Why did I even put that in my mouth? Why why why?

i had some kind of banana sushi in peru but there was so much weird sauce on it it didn't make much difference.

i can't even remember what the fish component was.

Ugh f my lame grammar: "neither sushi, nor eel, are improved by the addition of a banana....etc"

VegemiteGrrrl, Wednesday, 6 January 2010 07:01 (fourteen years ago) link

Unfortunatley this didn't involve a whole lot of sauce, iirc.

heh... I emailed that BBC article to someone earlier. Bananas and blow: like chocolate and peanut butter, like ham and swiss... some things were meant to be together.

Bananas Becoming Extinct

Without scientific help the sterile, seedless fruit could disappear with 10 years, according to a Belgian plant pathologist.

Someone should follow up on this important story.
