The bucks are ersan ilyasova, zaza pachulia, and some young players who complement them

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 27 March 2015 00:59 (nine years ago) link

and a few older vets. khris middleton isn't "young" the way giannis and MCW and Jabari are and he is good

man you and your bizarro euroballers

I do like both of those dudes tho I am a well documented bucks underdog supporter

Middleton is 23

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 27 March 2015 01:22 (nine years ago) link

Seriously tho there is a very weird zazasova thing going on right now. A lot of plays are run specifically for them.

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 27 March 2015 01:23 (nine years ago) link

The ersan thing I kinda get because he's been productive before but zaza pachulia: triple double threat?

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 27 March 2015 01:26 (nine years ago) link

I guess I think of 23 as not "young" given that giannis and jabari are both 20 but MCW is also 23 which I didn't know, thought he was younger, my thesis is squashed

but yeah I feel like kidd is trying whatever works in terms of who he prioritizes in plays, their shit was not working post ASB & maybe this will work on terms of getting them back above .500 and then some

If you go with a surgery carrying a quicker recovery time, you need to take extreme caution in ramping up and get some good luck.

Zach Lowe ‏@ZachLowe_NBA 2m2 minutes ago
Experts tell me bone graft is always safest route for healing, but most teams don't do it off the bat b/c it takes a long time.

lag∞n, Friday, 27 March 2015 19:26 (nine years ago) link

BALTIMORE, Jan. 3 — Orlando Magic forward Grant Hill underwent bone-graft surgery on his left ankle today, with the team and doctors predicting a full recovery.

"Such grafts are apparently standard procedure for the '5 to 8 percent' of Jones fracture surgeries that don't result in initial success."

That really freaks me out if kd is of the 1 in 20 ppl for whom the initial surgery doesn't really work and has to have more surgery to fix the surgery (and it's his third procedure in six months) :(

J0rdan S., Friday, 27 March 2015 19:52 (nine years ago) link

#wegonnabechampionship (Spottie), Friday, 27 March 2015 19:54 (nine years ago) link

i'm jumping the gun here but who is the best player ever to have his career derailed by leg injuries? walton? grant hill?

1. Walton
2. Sabonis
3. Grant Hill
4. Yao
5. Clark Kellogg maybe!

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 27 March 2015 21:19 (nine years ago) link

Penny overrated imo

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 27 March 2015 21:19 (nine years ago) link

I've always been fascinated by how ilgauskas and hill had a seemingly endless series of surgeries until somehow one surgery nailed the problem and they were healthy from then on.

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 27 March 2015 21:20 (nine years ago) link

man, penny in his prime was near to pippen. definitely hall of famer without the leg injury.

Maybe in 100 years someone will say damn Dawn was dope. (forksclovetofu), Friday, 27 March 2015 21:21 (nine years ago) link

A healthy Penny is maybe the 125th greatest player ever.

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 27 March 2015 21:23 (nine years ago) link

I remember the penny hype and it was fun but he wasn't even as good as Brandon Roy.
