celtics have a slightly easier schedule than pacers or hornets seem to over the last 10 or so games

is brother brad a stealth COTY candidate if he gets this group of miscreants into the playoffs? I mean no one's really a significant threat to kerr or budenholzer but still
― slothroprhymes, Tuesday, 24 March 2015 01:51 (nine years ago) link
he doesn't have a chance but it sure is interesting how everyone who gets traded to the celtics suddenly looks like a reasonable nba player.

brad is good

For such a big guy, gobert is amazing at rebounding outside of his box out. Barring injury it looks like they have a franchise center.

Trey has to be having some kind of historically bad season
― Steph def def (Spottie), Tuesday, 24 March 2015 03:42 (nine years ago) link
Feel like he shoots 3-19 every night
It's pretty crazy how Mirotic has been so good without really shooting that well

― Steph def def (Spottie), Tuesday, 24 March 2015 06:20 (nine years ago) link
man, the wiz just decomposed and rotted in what seems like a fairly short time, like 2 months or less? the east is so weak that their seeding prob won't fall but daaaaamn
― slothroprhymes, Tuesday, 24 March 2015 13:06 (nine years ago) link
their coach gotta go this offseason
wittmans bad
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 24 March 2015 14:26 (nine years ago) link
They caught the based god pacers's second half curse this year I guess
Wittman is terrible he's really holding them back
― we just form a f#!king wall (agent hibachi), Tuesday, 24 March 2015 15:55 (nine years ago) link
haberstroh was on the BS report and said something about d'antoni maybe being a good fit for the wiz, not sure if i'd agree given that only wall and beal would be best suited for his hyperspeed run-and-gun style

xp if OKC doesn't ruin his foot
segue from that - if they got a title next year for KD's last hurrah (which is prob their best course of action, they could start preparing for it now tbh) you think he'd still book it? or would it not matter/is the franchise too snakebit for that to really happen
― are... are you saying you fucked a gazelle? (slothroprhymes), Tuesday, 24 March 2015 17:49 (nine years ago) link
*xxp
beal is good if he hadn't gotten injured & been kinda shaky afterward i think he could've been a reserve this year
it just occurred to me that washington may have built the new old atlanta hawks--good enough for a 4/5 seed in the east for several years running.
better get kd.

The Wizards don't have a very good roster.
I mean they have Wall, and then a bunch of guys who are borderline starters, and then a bunch of guys.

wall and beal (still only 21) are legitimate franchise pieces, but the wizards historically have had a horrific ownership and lucking into wall and ending up with beal never changed that.
they signed martell webster on a huge overpay. the otto porter and jan vesley draft picks were disasters. i mean they had one whole draft where they picked vesley and chris singleton smh.
even the nene and gortat moves were seen as big gambles at the time and though they brought them up to a certain level of competitiveness and respectability this clearly is not a front office that understands how to think longterm.
and then of course the continued employment of a coach with a career winning percentage of 39%
― J0rdan S., Tuesday, 24 March 2015 22:31 (nine years ago) link
wall and to some extent beal are basically the only things that have kept the wizards from being the knicks, basically
― J0rdan S., Tuesday, 24 March 2015 22:32 (nine years ago) link
pretty big pieces tho
― Steph def def (Spottie), Tuesday, 24 March 2015 22:34 (nine years ago) link
i think wall and beal are good enough as a foundation to break out of the hawks 4/5 bracket but you'd need a total front office and coaching staff overhaul to make that happen but ted leonsis is obstinate as fuck
― J0rdan S., Tuesday, 24 March 2015 22:34 (nine years ago) link
Andrew Sharp @andrewsharp · 18h 18 hours agoThe Wizards could have drafted Steph, Klay, Barnes, and Draymond. Also re-signed Randy WIttman the same year Kerr was available. Goodnight.
this about sums it up
maybe "the only thing keeping them from being the t wolves" is slightly more accurate
― J0rdan S., Tuesday, 24 March 2015 22:35 (nine years ago) link

not gonna pretend I have more bball IQ than NBA brains but I remember being very perplexed as to why Draymond wasn't a higher draft prospect after seeing how he played at MSU.
