if u know me you'll know this aint my feng shui to begin with but even within the boundaries of admirable craftsmanship the echo repeat crowd chorus feels like a cold clammy hand

this song is clearly going to be a big radio hit so those of u who like it will be pleased to hear it in every public space for the next 8 months

i heard this the other day and had one of those annoying "this is awesome, but who is this? it's not Trey Songz is it?" moments in the car and then never caught enough lyrics to google it later, so i'm glad jordan brought it up so i know what it is.

also sorta feel like this trend was kicked off by "hold on we're going home"

yeah the Trey Songz track that this most reminded me of when i thought it might be Trey was BoB's "Not For Long" and that was basically a "Hold On" knockoff, so there's some connection there

i don't like "Love Me Like You Do" as much as the other Ellie Goulding on the charts right now, "Outside," but it's ok i guess

sums it up for me. it's catchy and the drum fills are nice i guess

that would suggest an affable disposability but idk i only get oppressive production line drudgery from this, synth stabs like a rubber stamped rictus on prepack orgafun (lol i am MAD rockist about fake disco)

like mannn isnt it ultimately all about freedom, triumph of abiding humanity, losing urself to be urself, etc... not this lemmings motorik

idk it's very ersatz but it's hardly "uptown funk"

vis-à-vis the raves upthread it's somehow both much better and much worse than expected

this song is so good

he looks like the biggest fucking goober and yet his vocals are so weirdly endearing and sweet

he sounds and looks like the 5th most important member of a second-tier boy band

But my officemate kept on playing it and now I think it's great, it's one of "those" songs

arguing that "adorn" is the genesis of songs like this is one of the worst insults i've seen about it. i don't hear it? i mean if you change everything about the production and tempo maybe but those are quite big things.
