I kinda don't think Love can stay? He's just not a number 3 kinda guy.

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 13 March 2015 05:20 (nine years ago) link

Did we ever discuss that guy who wrote like 30,000 words on how Rodman is the greatest third banana.

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 13 March 2015 05:21 (nine years ago) link

lol that take on blatt v pop could melt steel

According to sportvu 30 of Kyrie's 32 shots were contested

BRon without the headband looks like stage 2 of a superhero transformation lol

it was unsettling he needs to put it back on

lag∞n, Friday, 13 March 2015 13:34 (nine years ago) link

k3v - lowe was on simmons podcast the other day and basically agrees w/ you (however so does simmons) but i ain't gonna lie, the cavs scare the shit out of me. i'm already prepping myself w/ 'ecf would be the best the hawks have done and then we're picking in the top 9...' spin.

balls, Friday, 13 March 2015 13:37 (nine years ago) link

does bron have a bumpy head? i thought it was just his hairline but someone tweeted an overhead shot and it is much more serious than that, some prince william shit. dude should just shave it.

balls, Friday, 13 March 2015 13:40 (nine years ago) link

support born being a proud bald man and not shaving it

this is really crazy

lag∞n, Friday, 13 March 2015 14:20 (nine years ago) link

like what if he figures out (or has a coach who figures out) how to get open shots my god

lag∞n, Friday, 13 March 2015 14:21 (nine years ago) link

Watching the highlights the high contest rate feels more like a feature of his game than a coaching fault.

tsrobodo, Friday, 13 March 2015 14:34 (nine years ago) link

imo its prob... both?

lag∞n, Friday, 13 March 2015 14:37 (nine years ago) link

schemes r v key as far as getting open shots tho

lag∞n, Friday, 13 March 2015 14:38 (nine years ago) link

it cld just be some cleveland curse too

lag∞n, Friday, 13 March 2015 14:39 (nine years ago) link

btw bron had that freaked out look in his eyes last night prob has spurs ptsd

slothroprhymes, Friday, 13 March 2015 14:46 (nine years ago) link

xp
Yeah its just he created so many of those shots off the dribble they were bound to be contested. Of course schemes would mitigate that but Kyrie flourishes when there's very little room for manoeuvre.

tsrobodo, Friday, 13 March 2015 14:47 (nine years ago) link

Plus I'm searching for reasons to not dislike Blatt. Even in the midst of the Cavs good form he still feels like the weakest link.

tsrobodo, Friday, 13 March 2015 14:48 (nine years ago) link

im pretty sure blatt is a doof

lag∞n, Friday, 13 March 2015 14:49 (nine years ago) link

hes like an unhandsome pete carroll who hung out in israel instead of california

great tough shot makers who never learn how to get easy shots are an interesting phenomenon, kobe bean is prob the all timer

lag∞n, Friday, 13 March 2015 14:52 (nine years ago) link

like kayrie has such great ball handling skills but he tends to over dribble, if he cld receive the ball w an advantage and head toward the basket hed be better off than his typical dribble dribble crossover crossover routine

lag∞n, Friday, 13 March 2015 14:54 (nine years ago) link

Probably wouldn't be as fun to watch but you're right.

tsrobodo, Friday, 13 March 2015 14:56 (nine years ago) link

I guess I'm not surprised that a guy who's used to putting up insane numbers on a shitty team for years is capable of leaning on that in a big game

Doesn't seem sustainable tho

, Friday, 13 March 2015 14:57 (nine years ago) link

Blatt isn't the guy to coach it out of him and the only guy he's played with that's expressed a problem with it is Waiters who is Waiters.

tsrobodo, Friday, 13 March 2015 14:58 (nine years ago) link

kyrie still super young and has a good chance of figuring this stuff out, needs the right coach tho to put him in the position to become a mastermind

lag∞n, Friday, 13 March 2015 14:58 (nine years ago) link

like if he went to the spurs tomorrow i doubt hed be dribbling so much next week

lag∞n, Friday, 13 March 2015 14:59 (nine years ago) link

Could he ever truly be a mastermind though?

tsrobodo, Friday, 13 March 2015 15:01 (nine years ago) link

I mean talented as he is, court vision has never seemed to be his strong suit

tsrobodo, Friday, 13 March 2015 15:02 (nine years ago) link

who knows prob he doesnt seem dumb or awful or anything

lag∞n, Friday, 13 March 2015 15:02 (nine years ago) link

i think he can prob learn to make the right pass like he doesnt need to be steve nash

lag∞n, Friday, 13 March 2015 15:04 (nine years ago) link

Maybe. Of course playing with shitty teammates for years has been a factor but even then he doesn't seem to have smarts in that sense like even Wall Curry CP3 etc

tsrobodo, Friday, 13 March 2015 15:05 (nine years ago) link

yeah i dont think hes the playmaker any of those guys are, i mean certainly not cp3, but prob he doesnt need to be, the playmaking point guard is a little passe even, its all about complete team ball movement these days anyway, like the ball just needs to move, and players need to move w/o the ball

lag∞n, Friday, 13 March 2015 15:07 (nine years ago) link

wizards def put the ball in walls hands too much, cp3 its not a problem since hes a super genius, and the dubs obvs have great ball movement

lag∞n, Friday, 13 March 2015 15:08 (nine years ago) link

I still think Atlanta could take Cleve in the ecf but between Kyrie and Lebron they have two guys who could legit uncork one of those unstoppable one man games in the playoffs

Then it's down to do they get outcoached and outplayed as a team and find themselves down 3-1 before that happens

we just form a f#!king wall (agent hibachi), Friday, 13 March 2015 15:09 (nine years ago) link

Oh he 100% does

We might even see it if there is a Celtics-cavs series somehow just the ghosts of 2010 haunting him, cavs jersey try to rip itself off every time he passes thru the tunnel

we just form a f#!king wall (agent hibachi), Friday, 13 March 2015 15:10 (nine years ago) link

lmao

lag∞n, Friday, 13 March 2015 15:12 (nine years ago) link

wld be cool to see curry become a lil bit more nashian as far as looking for the pass imo, wldnt be surprised if his game evolved that way hes super creative, he cld easily shoot 50% from three if he mixed it up a lil more and took fewer contested shots off the dribble, kept defenders guessing

lag∞n, Friday, 13 March 2015 15:12 (nine years ago) link

yeah i still like atlanta, obvs kinda want to see how the teams are clicking come playoff time, cavs whole scheme on both sides of the ball def looking a lil sus from a playoff basketball perspective, chicago cld be a dark horse in this story too if they somehow manage to get healthy at the right time

David Lee, the longtime starter who has not played in three of the past four games, will be inserted into the starting lineup to face the Nuggets. With him will be Shaun Livingston, Justin Holliday, Harrison Barnes and Draymond Green.

All these coaches getting their Pop on.
