i meant to call this post out at the time but to me it's clear that the cavs have as good a chance as anyone

really have u checked out their bench, do u know they start jr smith

their coach has never coached in the nba before

they have 7 playoff-quality players, that added to their top-heaviness is all you need for the playoffs

theres not really any such thing as a "playoff quality player" i mean different guys are appropriate for different roles, and they have at least a few who dont fit the mold, jr smith as a starter, tristan thompson as yr backup center, not sure what you think theyre gonna do about back up point in this seven man rotation either

worth mentioning too theyve been playing a tighter than most teams basically an eight man rotation over their recent successful streak, so the idea that they can tighten things up for the playoffs is a bit suspect, most other playoff teams have a more cuttable minutes going to mediocre players than the cavs do now

also bron has in the past been able to ramp up his minutes for the playoffs bigtime w/o any ill effects but i suspect that might not be the case any more, kyrie for all his brilliance def seems a little not ready too, feel he could be funneled into some pretty bad play

but they will prob make it to the efc just as a default so i guess w a little luck they cld beat atlanta, still overall i dont think theyre too strong

maybe the bulls will beat them in the 2nd round? wld be p cool

also they def lean too heavy on the stand around and watch bron / watch kyrie offense which doesnt play well in the 'offs

re: cavs talk, they almost definitely make the east finals, they also prob don't move to the finals but if they don't it hardly means "welp they're fucked for good now rip cavs forever"

not you specifically, but the NBA schadenfreude thirst is real among a decent portion of close hoops followers, for various reasons

they have to be coming around to the fact that the cavs a pretty good now at least, tho long term love walking away is obvs a potentially a dire scenario for them long term

on the other hand not like hes been any good for him so maybe they cld use that money to replace his production in some sort of better way idk
