players crumpled by the winds and lost in time, no longer sure which team they've been traded to, weeping under a flag formed by a torn phoenix suns jersey

Philadelphia has traded K.J. McDaniels to Houston for Isaiah Canaan and a second round pick, league source tells Yahoo Sports.

holy hell

This is the move that makes the least sense to me today isn't McDaniels kinda good or is this just a they don't want to have to pay him for overperforming as a second round pick thing

we just form a f#!king wall (agent hibachi), Thursday, 19 February 2015 20:25 (nine years ago) link

they don't want to pay for him because theyre the worst

all the better!

Aimless, Thursday, 19 February 2015 20:27 (nine years ago) link

the real KJ mcdaniels story is that hinkie tries to fuck second round picks over on their contracts so mcdaniels took a one year deal that makes him a RFA this summer and the sixers don't wanna pay him

J0rdan S., Thursday, 19 February 2015 20:27 (nine years ago) link

putting people in the stocks should be revived for sixers management. they could be pelted with rotten produce by passersby.

Tim Bontemps ‏@TimBontemps 27m27 minutes ago
Jason Kidd, Michael Carter-Williams and Tyler Ennis are all represented by Excel Sports Management. All are now together in Milwaukee.

Biggest surprise of the day for me: Knicks added to their tax bill rather than getting under the tax line.

The Cavaliers and Clippers are strong contenders to sign Kendrick Perkins once buyout is done with Jazz, league sources tell Yahoo.

Cenk Akyol a 6'5 guard from Turkey, was drafted 59th in 2005 by Atlanta but has been traded 3 times within the last year.

Currently listed as the fourth-string SF for Anadolu Efes!

polyphonic, Thursday, 19 February 2015 23:23 (nine years ago) link

this is pretty disastrous for the suns obviously, but my feeling is that once they knew goran was gone for sure they realized they would have to start isiaih thomas, which isn't a great idea long-term, so they figured why not get rid of him too. you wonder whether if they had more time they could have gotten more for him, or if it would have been smarter to just wait until the offseason

k3vin k., Friday, 20 February 2015 00:32 (nine years ago) link

i am just going by what i heard on the radio today so i'm sure i will change my opinions but quick impressions:

winners:
heat
okc
philly

losers:
knicks (dragic was their only shot at a star for next year)
suns

k3vin k., Friday, 20 February 2015 00:36 (nine years ago) link

Okc set to go on that playoff push now

Steph def def (Spottie), Friday, 20 February 2015 00:49 (nine years ago) link

won't be tough to get in now that the suns are out of the picture, but it'll be interesting how high they can climb

k3vin k., Friday, 20 February 2015 00:51 (nine years ago) link

btw i haven't even seen this whiteside guy play yet but if he's actually good the heat are probably the 4th best team in the east now easily

k3vin k., Friday, 20 February 2015 00:52 (nine years ago) link

He's on some linsanity light action rn, seems good tho
