Obituary: my early morning attempts to read dates.

Andrew Farrell, Monday, 16 February 2015 09:12 (nine years ago) link

Yeah - apparently some 1 Direction fans went off yesterday as well, being outraged at #ripharryyouwillbemissed trending, when it's actually a kid who died of cancer.

This would be pretty bad, except they (in fairness probably a different they) did the same thing when the kid actually died four years ago.

Got a novel on order and looking forward to it, not much about in English.

Never did get to see him play. Wonder when the last time he was out there gigging. Also, hadn't known about that long Tonight Show stint. In theory I might be crossing paths this week with an old-timer who was in the band at that point but who knows if I will actually be able to ask anything about that.

Mon-El in the Middle (James Redd and the Blecchs), Sunday, 22 February 2015 15:36 (nine years ago) link

I saw him once in the early 90s, co-leading a band with Louie Bellson. The warmth of Terry's sound that filled the room is something I've never experienced before or since.
