kobe claims he's played through rotator cuff tears before fwiw

polyphonic, Thursday, 22 January 2015 20:47 (nine years ago) link

rip was really enjoying this kobe season

lag∞n, Thursday, 22 January 2015 20:48 (nine years ago) link

inevitable lakers crash-n-burn would be less thrilling w/o kobe's inimitable presence

LIKE If you are against racism (omar little), Thursday, 22 January 2015 20:49 (nine years ago) link

i hope either the lakers or the knicks really gets fucked over in the lottery

J0rdan S., Thursday, 22 January 2015 20:51 (nine years ago) link

kobe played through an amputated leg iirc

Spottie, Thursday, 22 January 2015 20:51 (nine years ago) link

KOBE BEAN BRYANT, 1978-2015. "He came, he shot, he conquered, he RINGZZZZZed...then it got weird."

xxp there's a chance the lakers aren't quite bad enough to keep that top-5 pick

i'm tellin you it was kenard (slothroprhymes), Thursday, 22 January 2015 20:54 (nine years ago) link

What about Perkins + 2nd for KG?

― polyphonic, Thursday, January 22, 2015 3:37 PM (50 minutes ago)

KG is not good and the thunder don't need a big

k3vin k., Thursday, 22 January 2015 21:27 (nine years ago) link

kobe being hurt is so lame because now his stans can just chalk his struggles up to injury rather than his being cooked

k3vin k., Thursday, 22 January 2015 21:29 (nine years ago) link

otm

Spottie, Thursday, 22 January 2015 21:30 (nine years ago) link

tbf kobe said he played through a labrum tear

pretty sure he'll play through this one for no reason other than to soothe the voices in his head

Assuming they got rid of Perk, would you move Ibaka to center or something? Adams can barely log 20 minutes most games, let alone 48.

polyphonic, Thursday, 22 January 2015 21:49 (nine years ago) link

still got collison

lag∞n, Thursday, 22 January 2015 22:01 (nine years ago) link

This guy?

http://espn.go.com/nba/player/gamelog/_/id/1978/nick-collison

polyphonic, Thursday, 22 January 2015 22:09 (nine years ago) link

collison will regress toward the mean, adams is a serviceable player, and yes play ibaka at the 5

k3vin k., Thursday, 22 January 2015 22:10 (nine years ago) link

Are we moving Durant to the 4?

polyphonic, Thursday, 22 January 2015 22:11 (nine years ago) link

durant at 4 as much as possible imo, obvs not a great defensive matchup sometimes tho

lag∞n, Thursday, 22 January 2015 22:14 (nine years ago) link

coming levels heartbroken about Kobe's shoulder unless he plays through it in which case I'm thrilled

Clay, Thursday, 22 January 2015 22:41 (nine years ago) link

Clay, Thursday, 22 January 2015 22:41 (nine years ago) link

he very well might!

“There’s an element in the basketball culture, especially in the NBA, that looks at clean-cut guys like myself and assumes what we can or can’t do and that followed me throughout my NBA career,” Alexander said. “I became sick of it, so I looked around the league to guys who had similar games as me and that at one point in their lives were clean-cut such as Mike Miller and the ‘Birdman’ (Chris Andersen). [I realized] those players had long hair, tattoos, things like that.”

While a member of the Texas Legends, Alexander wanted to send a message so he grew his hair long, just like Miller’s. His campaign in the D-League was a success as he averaged 20.2 points and 8.9 rebounds per contest, earning a spot at the All-Star game. He then got an arm-length tattoo, just like Andersen’s, which consisted of three things that symbolize him most: a basketball (to represent his love and passion for the game), wings (for his incredible athleticism and hops) and a skeleton (to exhibit his inner-demons that battle his clean-cut image).

wuuut

lag∞n, Thursday, 22 January 2015 23:36 (nine years ago) link

wow Burke benched for Exum

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 22 January 2015 23:43 (nine years ago) link

I haven't watched like...any jazz games but is he any good or does he fall into the fool's gold category of overrated draft picks?

i'm tellin you it was kenard (slothroprhymes), Thursday, 22 January 2015 23:46 (nine years ago) link

Exum? He's like the youngest player in the NBA... I would say he's been about what they expected so far, flashes of brilliance.

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 22 January 2015 23:46 (nine years ago) link

Burke at this point is a bust.

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 22 January 2015 23:47 (nine years ago) link

kind of a dire slate of games tonight except for spurs bulls

i'm tellin you it was kenard (slothroprhymes), Thursday, 22 January 2015 23:50 (nine years ago) link

yeah really a bummer thursday

k3vin k., Thursday, 22 January 2015 23:52 (nine years ago) link

xxxp interesting, I also expect he isn't getting enough minutes for any sort of comprehensive evaluation

blazers vs celtics is the official ILH Bowl tho

Clay, Friday, 23 January 2015 00:12 (nine years ago) link

Marc Gasol is the Grizzlies first ever all-star starter.

polyphonic, Friday, 23 January 2015 00:12 (nine years ago) link

Pdx second night of a back 2 back celts might have a chance

Naaah

Spottie, Friday, 23 January 2015 00:14 (nine years ago) link

Gasol earned that

Spottie, Friday, 23 January 2015 00:14 (nine years ago) link

lol kobe made it again

lag∞n, Friday, 23 January 2015 00:14 (nine years ago) link

celts-blaze is only dire bc 1 of 2 things will happen:

1. blazers will run train and celtics will look totally washed
2. celtics will be like last time they faced the blaze and lead for 3 quarters only to shit themselves completely in the 4th

i'm tellin you it was kenard (slothroprhymes), Friday, 23 January 2015 00:15 (nine years ago) link

these are some of the worst all star results ever

k3vin k., Friday, 23 January 2015 00:16 (nine years ago) link

portland's playing bad (lost 4 of 5 i think) and probably still don't have aldridge too so it's a coin flip tonight probably xxps

Clay, Friday, 23 January 2015 00:16 (nine years ago) link

Kyrie Irving not named All Star starter, doesn't qualify for his super-max extension to 27.5% of 2015-16 cap (unless wins MVP). Loses $9M.

polyphonic, Friday, 23 January 2015 00:18 (nine years ago) link

NBA East All-Star starters: #Wizards John Wall, Kyle Lowry, LeBron James, Pau Gasol, and Carmelo Anthony. Coached by Mike Budenholzer

NBA West All-Star starters: Steph Curry, Kobe Bryant, Marc Gasol, Anthony Davis, and Blake Griffin. Coached by Steve Kerr

polyphonic, Friday, 23 January 2015 00:19 (nine years ago) link

i take that back. because of injuries there aren't really that many strong candidates. only real snub is harden i guess

k3vin k., Friday, 23 January 2015 00:19 (nine years ago) link

kobe better sit out this all-star game if he's sitting a third of lakers games and has a bum shoulder

Clay, Friday, 23 January 2015 00:19 (nine years ago) link

Gasol v. Gasol on the block
