i'm tellin you it was kenard (slothroprhymes), Wednesday, 14 January 2015 05:22 (nine years ago) link

but if they have the money you gotta do it

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 14 January 2015 05:22 (nine years ago) link

they could keep motie as their third big and maybe see what they can get for terrence jones

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 14 January 2015 05:25 (nine years ago) link

monta having yet another pretty excellent game altho that was a weak turnover damn

i'm tellin you it was kenard (slothroprhymes), Wednesday, 14 January 2015 05:31 (nine years ago) link

unrelated but i watched a full game of okafor tonight and he had a sort of miserable game by his standards and i still see zero reason for him not to be the number 1 pick ... watching the game it felt like he had minimal impact except he actually had 15-15, he'll roll out of bed and get double doubles in the nba

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 14 January 2015 05:48 (nine years ago) link

Hah the final score for the heat lakers was 78-75. Bosh 4/17

I thought the lebron shove was nbd but looking at it again...

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 14 January 2015 06:12 (nine years ago) link

yeah i don't want to read too much into it but a player doesn't do that to a coach he has even an ounce of respect for

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 14 January 2015 06:19 (nine years ago) link

it's the look blatt gives him that clarifies the situation. it's the look of a kid who can't win the argument.

shmup....smug....shmub....shmug.... (forksclovetofu), Wednesday, 14 January 2015 07:04 (nine years ago) link

latest a lebron team has been under .500 since his rookie year

Clay, Wednesday, 14 January 2015 07:04 (nine years ago) link

yeah I totally disagree, teams bench their whole starting lineup sometimes when the bench makes a run

― Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, January 14, 2015 12:08 AM (6 hours ago) Bookmark Flag Post Permalink

benching a whole unit is another thing entirely. when you single one guy out (even if he's -20 for the game), after you've been having public issues with him, you're just asking for trouble.

ok where does love sign

hoops hype says houston only has $59 million committed for 15/16.......

read somewhere regardless where he signs hes gonna opt out this year, sign for one year, then sign his long term contract the next year to take advantage of the predicted higher salary ceiling - we cld be looking at two straight years of kevin love contract drama

lag∞n, Wednesday, 14 January 2015 14:27 (nine years ago) link

seems like we know a little more which role is best for him, primary scorer on a team with a crisp offense and good defenders who can make up for his weaknesses on that end, he needs his plays called and gets a lil lost if hes just hanging around hoping someone gives him the ball

lag∞n, Wednesday, 14 January 2015 14:31 (nine years ago) link

which makes sense as hes not a ball handler who can create his own shots or a specialist who can just stay in his zone or an athletic freak who can make something out of nothing

lag∞n, Wednesday, 14 January 2015 14:33 (nine years ago) link

man got to fire that blatt

lag∞n, Wednesday, 14 January 2015 14:33 (nine years ago) link

btw i enjoyed yr guys commentary on the suns game after the fact lol

this is interesting.... i guess he's pretty much guaranteed to get a max in 16 if the did this but if this season goes really south for him he better make sure he finds a good situation for himself next year if he really wants to go one and done again

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 14 January 2015 14:43 (nine years ago) link

it seems like some teams weren't sold on him even before this season, now this one has been a disaster for him basically, and then if he goes to another situation next year and it turns out like this.... i dunno it's not a huge risk but it's a risk

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 14 January 2015 14:44 (nine years ago) link

it's getting harder to sell him for superstar bucks, that's for sure

Nhex, Wednesday, 14 January 2015 14:45 (nine years ago) link

the only risk is injury imo someone will max him out regardless, theres gonna be so much money flying around when the cap goes up, even without the cap raise tho hes a guaranteed max imo

lag∞n, Wednesday, 14 January 2015 14:47 (nine years ago) link

yeah i'm with you

but what if the only teams willing to max him out in 16 are the knicks and the lakers

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 14 January 2015 14:48 (nine years ago) link

that wld be sad 4 him lol, dont see it happening tho

lag∞n, Wednesday, 14 January 2015 14:48 (nine years ago) link

he should just sign with houston next year

k3vin k., Wednesday, 14 January 2015 14:48 (nine years ago) link

cavs shd just fire blatt make this easy for everyone

Blatt is so fired by the all star break bring on George Karl

If there's anyone who can unlock k love on this team it's him

That or get one time machine and get don Nelson from fifteen years ago

we just form a f#!king wall (agent hibachi), Wednesday, 14 January 2015 15:16 (nine years ago) link

i.... don't think bringing in george karl is the answer

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 14 January 2015 15:17 (nine years ago) link

buddy runs in here all shrieking like a bird and tearing everything to shreds

lag∞n, Wednesday, 14 January 2015 15:19 (nine years ago) link

Karl might not be the real answer but it'd be way more fun

He could probably get them scoring 130 and just see what happens

we just form a f#!king wall (agent hibachi), Wednesday, 14 January 2015 16:21 (nine years ago) link

karl wld be great imo unless hes like slowly dying rn or something which seems like it cld be the case

lag∞n, Wednesday, 14 January 2015 16:22 (nine years ago) link

the dino claw on ball is....not terrible but they better get the detailing right on the uniforms.

i'm interested in miami vs. cleveland and what they did/are doing on offense. i don't recall miami running a super structured offense and it worked ok. but it's a disaster for cleveland. is this just the skill level of thin bron/love/irving vs. huge bron/wade/bosh? less basketball IQ on cleveland? kevin love's complete inability to freelance? it's weird.

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 14 January 2015 16:39 (nine years ago) link

Latter part of this is somewhat illuminating

there was a lot of room to create in it which makes sense cause of their personnel but it was idk if structured is the right word but def very designed to use use players in a certain way and all three of the big three changed their games a lot in miami to fit in with each other and the offense

lag∞n, Wednesday, 14 January 2015 16:56 (nine years ago) link

that makes sense--the adaptability seems to be missing in cle
