Yesss get em Stan Van

Also I love when the lakers are bad and the Internet thinks they're going to get every player on a two week hot streak then sign every superstar in the offseason then they get Carlos boozer etc

The problem isn't personnel, despite what the head coach would tell you ("We don’t have that."). The problem is the system. #Wizards

LeBron James calls injury ‘the most difficult thing I’ve been through’

“It’s the most difficult thing I’ve been through,” he said.

James also said “I hated the fact that we were playing some decent ball when I went out and we just dropped a lot of games when I went out.

it is pretty difficult to reconcile my prediction of the cavs coming out of the east with their inability to even stay on the floor with terrible teams when 2 supposed superstars play

k3vin k., Tuesday, 13 January 2015 19:57 (nine years ago) link

yep

lag∞n, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 20:04 (nine years ago) link

I'm not sure it really matters too much who comes out of the east

Clay, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 20:06 (nine years ago) link

idk i think chi could hang with west teams. maybe the hawks idk still haven't watched them enough to judge

Spottie, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 20:09 (nine years ago) link

kev otm tho

Spottie, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 20:09 (nine years ago) link

it matter in so much as that will be the team from the east in the finals

lag∞n, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 20:09 (nine years ago) link

what if they got a different coach tho

lag∞n, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 20:10 (nine years ago) link

you'd think kyrie and love would def be enough to play, you know, at LEAST .500 ball

Spottie, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 20:10 (nine years ago) link

and yet

lag∞n, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 20:12 (nine years ago) link

Spottie, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 20:14 (nine years ago) link

Spottie, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 20:15 (nine years ago) link

they probably should've fired him before the season started

Like oops sorry we got bron and love gonna hire a steady hand who is easily respected, u must understand our predicament best of luck

Clay, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 20:15 (nine years ago) link

i was at the nets rockets game; they showed no replay of the headbutt so from where i was sitting it looked like howard threw a punch at KG and then Garnett was ejected. wasn't until i got home that it was clear what happened. nets promptly lost control of the game in the five minutes after that scrum and stayed at least six points or so behind for the rest of the way.

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 20:37 (nine years ago) link

well barnita hasn't really been playing so i doubt it'll move the needle one way or another

k3vin k., Tuesday, 13 January 2015 20:44 (nine years ago) link

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 20:49 (nine years ago) link

oh i misread your post lol sorry

k3vin k., Tuesday, 13 January 2015 20:51 (nine years ago) link

phil has done a decent job getting rid of some contracts but i feel like he hasn't gotten enough heat for most of the moves he's made. have they gotten a single asset in any of these moves?

k3vin k., Tuesday, 13 January 2015 20:52 (nine years ago) link

i mean once you tank, you can't tank more. they lost shumpert and smith, who were at least rotation NBA players, for the opportunity to get even worse, plus a worthless pick

k3vin k., Tuesday, 13 January 2015 20:54 (nine years ago) link

most of it started probably with the chandler trade. phil at that point genuinely believed the knicks had a playoff roster; if he had simply been trying to tank like he is now, he might have pushed for a real asset like a good pick or like, brandan wright. not shane larkin

k3vin k., Tuesday, 13 January 2015 20:56 (nine years ago) link

Chandler trade really his only mistake so far but it's a big one

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 21:19 (nine years ago) link

he can spin calderon off but it prob won't be for that much at this point

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 13 January 2015 21:20 (nine years ago) link

and the melo contract, tho his hands were kind of tied there

k3vin k., Tuesday, 13 January 2015 21:20 (nine years ago) link

calderon has been soo bad and on the downslide

I think it was still the right move, Melo's taking a season off and all but who cares

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 21:24 (nine years ago) link

i don't fault phil for thinking they had a playoff roster and if you believe the rumors that chandler and melo essentially couldn't play together anymore then the decision to trade chandler wasn't horrible

the actual trade he made was poor but it won't hamstring them that much

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 13 January 2015 21:24 (nine years ago) link

i doubt phil had anything to do w/ melo

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 13 January 2015 21:25 (nine years ago) link

he should have tanked from the beginning tho, this is the year for them to do it

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 21:28 (nine years ago) link

a ton of cap room+ a stacked top 5 + no pick in 2016

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 21:29 (nine years ago) link

well, Denver's pick I guess but

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 21:29 (nine years ago) link

oh the raptors have that too

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 21:29 (nine years ago) link

from the fucking bargnani trade lol

well it's clearly a disastrous deal in hindsight, whether one thinks it was a good deal at the time or not. it's a 5 year near-max for a player who in all likelihood won't be worth that much in a few years, which since they're rebuilding is when they will supposedly start to contend

k3vin k., Tuesday, 13 January 2015 21:33 (nine years ago) link

i guess with the cap going up it might not be THAT bad but it still isn't great. tho again the options were melo or nothing i guess
