He started the season calling for timeouts multiple times a game because he was out of breath.

it could be a lot of things, loss of desire, being far away from biogenesis, but no way this is all aging

Roy Jones was never the same athletically after he dropped a lot of weight that he'd packed on to fight at heavyweight, there may have been some PED shenanigans and it was a different sport but makes me wonder

dang KG was going for the nose break

@haralabob: Anyone betting these games early in the AM that wants to talk damage control, hit me up.
@haralabob: Or we can all act like idiots and ruin the angle forever.
@haralabob: You know I could also just start tweeting these games overnight and then nobody earns. So if you are betting em, get in touch.

protip: next time, grab the back of Dwight's head firmly before applying your head butt, kg. that way you can add some arm strength to your move.

i never quite understood why lebron lost weight, i assume his people thought it would help him in the long run?
i'm starting to wonder if the heat didn't wear lebron out in the last few seasons. aside from the sheer number of minutes, their style was so frenetic and he could rarely take plays off (although he started to on defense last year). he just looks beat down.
i saw a haberstroh piece saying he's played 7,000 more minutes than MJ had at age 30.
did you guys know lebron has played more career minutes than andre miller?
― J0rdan S., Tuesday, 13 January 2015 14:40 (nine years ago) link
i'm willing to accept that he's been playing hurt all season and if he can just get healthy he'll be back to elevating at the rim and stuff but if i had to bet i'd say he's on a permanent downslope starting this season
― J0rdan S., Tuesday, 13 January 2015 14:41 (nine years ago) link
you cld see the decline last year too but i do think a lot of it has to be injury or something
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 14:41 (nine years ago) link
last year he def dropped on defense but that looked mostly like an effort thing, his offensive game was still in peak form
― J0rdan S., Tuesday, 13 January 2015 14:52 (nine years ago) link
i guess the more i think about it it seems crazy that his game could drop off as hard as it did in one offseason, so i'm willing to entertain the theory that he just hasn't been healthy all season and if/when he can get healthy he'll look like bron again
of course he put himself in a position now where his team can't really afford to have him sit any more games
― J0rdan S., Tuesday, 13 January 2015 14:53 (nine years ago) link
recall talking here about how he didnt have his youthful explosiveness, first signs of decline, i dont think it was universally received but imo was real, what we wld be seeing this year prob w/o injury is a continuation of that slow decline
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 14:55 (nine years ago) link
getting healthy can be super tricky obvs with back problems
instead he looks like 2020 bron
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 14:56 (nine years ago) link
which btw he plays pretty fn well w/o his athleticism, wonder what sort of records are within his reach if he can regain health
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 14:57 (nine years ago) link
Getting bounced in the first round might be the best thing to happen to him this year provided it doesn't create complete panic and fleeing the scene
The last time he went home before mid-June was 2010 when he got beat by the c's and made the decision 1.0

Yeah it's pretty amazing that for all the drama and back pain (killer!!) he's playing through his regular stats aren't so far off his normal hi20s-7-7 type lines
Advanced stats prob a lil worse but even gimpy bron is still a top five guy right?

Yesss get em Stan Van
Also I love when the lakers are bad and the Internet thinks they're going to get every player on a two week hot streak then sign every superstar in the offseason then they get Carlos boozer etc
