@WojYahooNBA: Boston's on phones now, trying to find a deal to move on Austin Rivers, league sources tell Yahoo.

No. Why do you think this?

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 10 January 2015 23:22 (nine years ago) link

just cause its a fact

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 23:23 (nine years ago) link

it's not, it's a really bad opinion actually

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 10 January 2015 23:25 (nine years ago) link

he isn't as horrific as he was in his rookie year but he is still bad and shouldn't be in a reasonable rotation

Clay, Saturday, 10 January 2015 23:35 (nine years ago) link

@ESPNSteinLine: Grizz poised to get Jeff Green/Russ Smith; Celts to get Tay Prince/Austin Rivers/Grizz first; Pelicans to get Quincy Pondexter/Grizz second

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 23:55 (nine years ago) link

@ESPNSteinLine: As my colleague @GwashNBAGlobe reported earlier tonight, Boston is already trying to move Austin Rivers. LIKELY in a separate deal, though

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 23:55 (nine years ago) link

lmao if the clippers trade for another Rivers

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 11 January 2015 00:08 (nine years ago) link

kinda makes sense that the hornets are better with a lineup that's just kemba walker and 4 guys who play D

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 11 January 2015 00:18 (nine years ago) link

(Zeller pretty solid on D imo)

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 11 January 2015 00:19 (nine years ago) link

philly has a one point lead over indy with 32 seconds. if they hold on they'll be owners of a two game win streak.

Clay, Sunday, 11 January 2015 03:07 (nine years ago) link

lol players and fans celebrating like they just won a playoff series. so much joy in philly!

Clay, Sunday, 11 January 2015 03:12 (nine years ago) link

david blatt is going to be shot out of a cannon very soon

J0rdan S., Monday, 12 January 2015 05:12 (nine years ago) link

yeah that comment is pretty indefensible and obv above his paygrade too

Clay, Monday, 12 January 2015 05:17 (nine years ago) link

So, the blazers are first to 30 wins. Take that, GSW!

Assume this is what Clay was talking about

, Monday, 12 January 2015 11:21 (nine years ago) link

blatt comment has been take way outta context fyi

micah, Monday, 12 January 2015 12:07 (nine years ago) link

well yeah, it's something to do with the cavs and a not insignificant portion of the NBA audience seems to lowkey want the cavs to fail spectacularly, so, anything anyone says on any level at the team is gonna get twisted somehow

i'm tellin you it was kenard (slothroprhymes), Monday, 12 January 2015 12:58 (nine years ago) link

that said, this particularquote is kinda NAGL for blatt. GMs can worry about player salaries.

i'm tellin you it was kenard (slothroprhymes), Monday, 12 January 2015 13:00 (nine years ago) link

xp *any level of that team

i'm tellin you it was kenard (slothroprhymes), Monday, 12 January 2015 13:01 (nine years ago) link

what did he even mean by that, i mean kevin love is a max player, is it cause he didnt get the five year megamax

lag∞n, Monday, 12 January 2015 14:34 (nine years ago) link

odd comment

lag∞n, Monday, 12 January 2015 14:34 (nine years ago) link

then like lebron is also not a max player

lag∞n, Monday, 12 January 2015 14:34 (nine years ago) link

A "max contract" has a very specific definition.

There are currently 7 players in the NBA on max contracts, Lebron and Love are not among them.

The question Blatt replied to referred specifically to Love and Kyrie (who is on a max contract).

In that vein his comment could be viewed as entirely innocent and I'm inclined to give him the botd even if its a lot more fun to take it the other way.
