its not just his foot speed

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 06:35 (nine years ago) link

i mean its possible he tries hard to understand how to do D and just cant get it i guess

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 06:36 (nine years ago) link

he really really sucks at one on one d, like maybe the worst I've ever seen but he's not usually out of place or getting burned on back cuts while sleeping

Spottie, Saturday, 10 January 2015 06:36 (nine years ago) link

agreed

polyphonic, Saturday, 10 January 2015 06:37 (nine years ago) link

jackson complaining about the warriors firing him from the booth, nice look for everyone involved

it's actually weird espn would let jackson do a warriors game

― Clay, Saturday, January 10, 2015 12:34 AM (7 hours ago) Bookmark

I was thinking earlier what a good metaphor for this would be, was thinking its like Mark's ex got engaged to his best friend and Mark was asked to be the best man

I had a post on Zing all going into this

then Zing crashed and I lsot the post

then JVG strted talking about mark like he had been divorced from the warriors

so I dropped it and felt an incredible need to take a shower

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 15:25 (nine years ago) link

fuck man that's sad

i'm tellin you it was kenard (slothroprhymes), Saturday, 10 January 2015 15:26 (nine years ago) link

Last nights broadcast was great. So many weird moments like jvg trying really hard not to diss the guy right next to him while still singing Kerrs praises. Choosing his words verrrry carefully.

Spottie, Saturday, 10 January 2015 15:29 (nine years ago) link

Jacksons butterfly/cacoon line was great btw.

Spottie, Saturday, 10 January 2015 15:29 (nine years ago) link

kinda cruel to put him on that game

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 15:30 (nine years ago) link

I'm sure they asked him?

Spottie, Saturday, 10 January 2015 15:31 (nine years ago) link

was watching at the bar with no sound, both glad and sad that I missed that cringe-comedy experience

i'm tellin you it was kenard (slothroprhymes), Saturday, 10 January 2015 15:31 (nine years ago) link

also like how he was fired not for coaching reasons but because after all his endless preaching about professionalism he couldnt get along with one other human in that organization

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 15:31 (nine years ago) link

I'm sure they asked him?

mark jackson is not a good decision maker!

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 15:32 (nine years ago) link

you cant just let him do what he wants

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 15:32 (nine years ago) link

Yah it's really weird. He was asking for that pop control without those pop results.

Spottie, Saturday, 10 January 2015 15:33 (nine years ago) link

seems like he could prob get other work if he wanted it, I'm guessing he kinda wanted to cover that game for some weird masochistic reason

i'm tellin you it was kenard (slothroprhymes), Saturday, 10 January 2015 15:34 (nine years ago) link

suspect hes just fundamentally insufferable to be around xp

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 15:35 (nine years ago) link

who knows maybe he will learn, he will def coach again, tho if hes waiting around for as sweet as an assignment as golden state i doubt its gonna come

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 15:37 (nine years ago) link

how bad would he be in sacto? if his personal skills are what got him bounced I'm guessing the answer is "fucking atrocious"

i'm tellin you it was kenard (slothroprhymes), Saturday, 10 January 2015 15:40 (nine years ago) link

which would also be why vivek might well end up hiring him

i'm tellin you it was kenard (slothroprhymes), Saturday, 10 January 2015 15:40 (nine years ago) link

Vivek would never give up control

Spottie, Saturday, 10 January 2015 15:42 (nine years ago) link

vivek wants mullins

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 15:48 (nine years ago) link

prob just roll w the interim til next season havent heard them interviewing anyone

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 15:49 (nine years ago) link

he shd def coach the lakers tho

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 15:50 (nine years ago) link

Mullins or jax?

Spottie, Saturday, 10 January 2015 15:51 (nine years ago) link

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 15:53 (nine years ago) link

he sure as shit couldn't be worse than b-scott

i'm tellin you it was kenard (slothroprhymes), Saturday, 10 January 2015 16:02 (nine years ago) link

If the Lakers weren't such a prestigious coaching job, I'd be delighted to see Mark Jackson saddled with it. But even as bad as the Lakers are at present, it would be better than Jackson deserves.

earthface, windface and fireface (Aimless), Saturday, 10 January 2015 17:24 (nine years ago) link

Jackson isn't THAT bad, jeez.

Also maybe he worked the game last night because it's his job to? He already ducked out of the first ESPN broadcast earlier this season. He couldn't do it forever.

Danny Ainge wants to get Austin Rivers and I'm starting to long for the M.L. Carr era.

EZ Snappin, Saturday, 10 January 2015 19:45 (nine years ago) link

well if its rivers or salmons as the throw in in the green deal who cares hardly seems like grounds for longing for a time when the celtics were truly hopeless

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 19:50 (nine years ago) link

also shh rivers has turned into a kinda ok nba bench player

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 19:52 (nine years ago) link

I hate Austin Rivers and don't want to see him in Celtics green.

EZ Snappin, Saturday, 10 January 2015 19:53 (nine years ago) link

Has any team ever led by more than double the other team after 3

, Saturday, 10 January 2015 19:55 (nine years ago) link

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 19:55 (nine years ago) link

lagoon u talking about the same austin rivers who just lost his rotation spot to jimmer fredette or another one

polyphonic, Saturday, 10 January 2015 19:56 (nine years ago) link

ha he is bad but whatever is my main point hes just a throw in

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 19:57 (nine years ago) link

john salmons might actually be dead, i'll take rivers

call all destroyer, Saturday, 10 January 2015 20:07 (nine years ago) link

in my ongoing war against nba twitter i have attempted to engage @haralabob in a philosophical argument https://twitter.com/on3ness/status/554012967441031168

Clay, Saturday, 10 January 2015 22:46 (nine years ago) link

@WojYahooNBA: Boston's on phones now, trying to find a deal to move on Austin Rivers, league sources tell Yahoo.
