I was thinking earlier what a good metaphor for this would be, was thinking its like Mark's ex got engaged to his best friend and Mark was asked to be the best man

Last nights broadcast was great. So many weird moments like jvg trying really hard not to diss the guy right next to him while still singing Kerrs praises. Choosing his words verrrry carefully.

Jacksons butterfly/cacoon line was great btw.

was watching at the bar with no sound, both glad and sad that I missed that cringe-comedy experience

also like how he was fired not for coaching reasons but because after all his endless preaching about professionalism he couldnt get along with one other human in that organization

If the Lakers weren't such a prestigious coaching job, I'd be delighted to see Mark Jackson saddled with it. But even as bad as the Lakers are at present, it would be better than Jackson deserves.

Also maybe he worked the game last night because it's his job to? He already ducked out of the first ESPN broadcast earlier this season. He couldn't do it forever.
