one interesting thing about the wolves is what exactly they'll use that pick on, since they have two pretty good centers already. Maybe take Porzingis and hope it works.

prob more like 35 wins wld get it done fwiw re wolves-celtics draft pick, roughly the pace brooklyn/denver/sacto are on this year

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 03:47 (nine years ago) link

Nurkic has only been playing the game for five years.

wow

Clay, Saturday, 10 January 2015 03:47 (nine years ago) link

when did embiid start, like 4 years ago right

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 10 January 2015 03:48 (nine years ago) link

Mozgov having fun out there

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 10 January 2015 03:49 (nine years ago) link

re noah yeah goon otm maybe his knee is taking a while. regression would be fine if it was minimal but he has like cut his numbers in half

Spottie, Saturday, 10 January 2015 03:51 (nine years ago) link

derrick rose is probably the worst starting pg in the nba who isn't starting because of an injury

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 10 January 2015 03:52 (nine years ago) link

another solid game from wiggins

k3vin k., Saturday, 10 January 2015 03:54 (nine years ago) link

wiggins lights it up immediately after I call him out, probably an ilxor

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 10 January 2015 03:55 (nine years ago) link

def

Spottie, Saturday, 10 January 2015 03:55 (nine years ago) link

it's granny dainger iirc

Spottie, Saturday, 10 January 2015 03:56 (nine years ago) link

i saw some stat from mid-season last year that JR smith shot 8% if he dribbled

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 10 January 2015 03:56 (nine years ago) link

Flip is a good coach

It will take more than "good" to get the wolves to 40 wins next season.

mozgov drawing fouls on bogut like clockwork, can't contain him

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 10 January 2015 03:56 (nine years ago) link

35 wins xp

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 03:57 (nine years ago) link

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 03:58 (nine years ago) link

i took a minute at work today to take in all of the cavs' recent moves, and i think they're coming out of the east now

k3vin k., Saturday, 10 January 2015 03:59 (nine years ago) link

idk just a gut feeling

k3vin k., Saturday, 10 January 2015 03:59 (nine years ago) link

def more likely now than a few days ago

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 04:01 (nine years ago) link

i mean, the wizards are the wizards. the hawks are the hawks. the raptors are the raptors. i think the bulls and cavs are gonna be the best teams at the end of the season

k3vin k., Saturday, 10 January 2015 04:02 (nine years ago) link

yeah def getting comfortable feelings with that roster now

Spottie, Saturday, 10 January 2015 04:02 (nine years ago) link

i was gonna bump the nba opo thread to opo 2014 draftee but it seems like it's pretty much undeniably wiggins after the last couple of weeks unless embiid becomes hakeem

Clay, Saturday, 10 January 2015 04:04 (nine years ago) link

That is crazy xxp

, Saturday, 10 January 2015 04:05 (nine years ago) link

bulls still have a higher ceiling imo cause of defense but theyre not really there either, atl looking pretty strong have no problem seeing them especially if the more talented teams cant quite put it together

i mean, if his foot works then it looks like that will be what happens but..

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 10 January 2015 04:07 (nine years ago) link

well now it's clearly wiggins. tho we obv haven't seen embiid

k3vin k., Saturday, 10 January 2015 04:09 (nine years ago) link

yeah lets let embiid play before we make this call, same w parker too tbh

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 04:09 (nine years ago) link

pretty funny to think about a year ago people were talking about there being SEVERAL franchise players in that draft tho, lol

altho tbf it's hard to judge after just half a season. rookies are becoming less and less impactful in today's NBA. someone on ESPN (i think it was thorpe) hypothesized that AAU had turned into a glorified pickup circuit, and with the one and done rule, college doesn't really teach guys NBA skills, so the learning curve is steeper these days

k3vin k., Saturday, 10 January 2015 04:12 (nine years ago) link

idk guys used to come out of high school

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 04:13 (nine years ago) link

rookies usually just arent too good

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 04:13 (nine years ago) link

but i mean rookies ALL suck now, it's weird

k3vin k., Saturday, 10 January 2015 04:14 (nine years ago) link

aau argument is odd as players are so much more skilled than theyve ever been

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 04:15 (nine years ago) link

i remember lillard was great straight out of college but he was a 4 year player and has obv improved significantly since then

nba transition is probably easier for bigs than wings too

Clay, Saturday, 10 January 2015 04:16 (nine years ago) link

when's the last time a rookie was an impact player? chris paul?

xp duh dame was pretty good

k3vin k., Saturday, 10 January 2015 04:16 (nine years ago) link

griffin was pretty good in his first healthy season

polyphonic, Saturday, 10 January 2015 04:17 (nine years ago) link

kyrie too

k3vin k., Saturday, 10 January 2015 04:17 (nine years ago) link

nba game is more complex than its ever been but im not convinced rookies are so much worse than theyve been since guys started regularly coming into the league young, rookies who contribute have always been the exception and the ones who put up big numbers are always chucking on bad teams

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 04:18 (nine years ago) link

dame was ooold his 1st season tho

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 04:19 (nine years ago) link

roy was too

Spottie, Saturday, 10 January 2015 04:21 (nine years ago) link

wld benefit both the pro and college games to raise the age limit a year

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 04:21 (nine years ago) link

smh no

k3vin k., Saturday, 10 January 2015 04:22 (nine years ago) link

it wld!

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 January 2015 04:22 (nine years ago) link

roy was too

Spottie, Saturday, 10 January 2015 04:23 (nine years ago) link

yeah was gonna bring up roy, but he's another 4 year guy.

durant, lebron, anthony, wade all had big rookie years obv

Clay, Saturday, 10 January 2015 04:23 (nine years ago) link

I feel like we're all living in an alternate reality since the Booker shot

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 10 January 2015 04:24 (nine years ago) link

durant was p awful tbh
