I thought this was such a horrible sophomore slump when it came out. Now I enjoy it with all the rest.
Abstraktions is pretty tough to beat here.

I wouldn't have used the word horrible, but I was initially bummed too. I think the reason why was there was no "Valentine/Kantina/Was Is Were Are Etc" type thing on it. That trifecta is unfukwitable. But yeah, when Unwound started proving they could put out good albums every year on the dot, my opinion changed.

By the time the "next" Unwound album came out, I was finally getting the previous one. That ended after Repetition when they toured the world, and the pattern stopped. anyway, Unwound are one of the best 90s artists hands down. I never expected them to have such a long career, but I never expected them to be kinda slept on today either.

Yeah what other band made that many great records in a row? Seriously?

Even Fake Train was a mild disappointment to me (though I listened to it incessantly from the day it was released). Those songs had so much more life and bite on stage. Steve Fisk really knows how to take the balls out of a recording.

Future of What is a good choice for best Unwound album.Fake Train is the early classic.Leaves Turn Inside You is the sleeper.Repetition has the best single.
I think the fourth time I saw them was the week Fake Train came out. They were opening for Drive Like Jehu.
