I didn't know The Beatles had an album called "084994"... Was it their industrial record?
― Tuomas, Friday, 22 August 2008 11:48 (fifteen years ago) link
Or is "084994" nerd writing for "Obama"?

George looks like he's actually eaten a baby.
That album was to be subtitled "how to end your career in America before it's really started"

Why were you snooping around your bosses office? Does he know you were in there?
Just wondering.

Um. Today is my last day so I was training my replacement yesterday. She was sitting at my desk and he was out so I was at his. The tape was sitting right next to the keyboard. No snooping involved.

Someone already posted Nigtclubbing which is awesome too, but this is my favourite Grace Jones cover:

far far fewer

Parade by Prince is one of those albums where the CD cover simply can't do the vinyl cover justice.

I just bought this Kat Mandu compilation, and what an awesome cover it has:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v655/lixnixn/katmandu.jpg
It's based on the cover of the Kat Mandu's debut LP:
http://www.goodgroove.org/discoboogie/cd10/KatManduTMB.JPG
The LP cover is cool too, and it has a better font, but IMO the colours in the comp cover make it more awesome.

The cover of Kat Mandu's second LP, OTOH, is kinda odd:

"Mind numbingly" is way overstating, but I sold my copy of Horslips' "Happy To Meet, Sorry To Part" LP years ago, and kinda want one again. Octagonal, with intricate die-cuts.
