Well, "Martha Wash" was just a concise way of referring to C+C Music Factory, Black Box and whoever else she sang for. All of 'em cranked out the Hi-NRG jams that, throughout the '90s, were as ubiquitous at North American sporting events as in dance clubs. I tend(ed) to lump 'em all together regardless of how much/little they actually had in common sonically.
