well, the reason I ask is one of the many various freelance gigs that keeps my rent paid is sub-editing at rock mags much less prestigious than Rolling Stone, so I was surprised to see the odd typo and repeated word in there.

but my main point was to say, awesome piece of writing whiney. did this run in the print mag too?

honestly i hope that what tanuki is saying about one direction fans is true. after watching that video upthread, i think it would do this world a lot of good if one direction fans had killer mike available as a resource to apprise them on issues affecting the black community. can we get him appointed to that title? "czar of boy band outreach", or something?

i think meow the jewels might actually be their best album. i was never totally sold on RTJ before, but MTJ is pretty incredible. i wish all their albums were made like this now (with guest producers).

This is my least fave of the three - too long and mostly quite monochromatic. There are some definite bangers but the songs are structurally and sonically indistinct from each other. More guests would have been a big help.

Rolls great, more depth than I anticipated, after I learned there was an RTJ3. I had forgot about RTJ.

my biggest disappointment was finding out that the "Boots" feature was not by Boots Riley but some boring guy stealing his name

the other disappointment for me is that Danny Brown track cuz ugh jesus christ is that how his voice usually sounds? I know who he is but have never bothered to listen to him due to descriptions not being particularly appealing to my sensibilities and if that is his standard delivery um yeah I don't need any of that
