i was at a guy fawkes' night firework display in glasgow on wednesday and i saw 50 or 60 people wearing the guy fawkes / v for vendetta masks. i guess november 5 is maybe the only time where wearing one of those in public is arguably thematically appropriate but all i could think about was 'how many of these guys are gamergate supporters?'

I think a lot of people care much, much more about video games than them, but most definitely not about the same things.

Like distributors, store owners, studios banking hundreds of millions into AAA titles, companies relying on games to sell their hardware, and television networks who have a large number of ads for video games. None of those people really care about who is buying games, though, just that games are being made and paid for. Oh, and actual video games journalists, who, ironically, are the only ones who care about having an audience for their writing.

It's of grave importance that we of the conspiracy protect the ability of gaming journalists to report unethically on video games.

for sure, I want to make sure m@tt and company continue to write only about war simulator first-person shooters, and that they give them at least 7/10
