refuse to see any movie in which an adorable dog is murdered

i was worried about that myself, and the scene is brief, done with dignity, and the appropriate vengeance is taken

there's even a dramatic monologue where keanu explains why a puppy could mean so much

it's about as well handled as an un-looked-forward-to dog death could be handled

god that dog was cute as hell tho

keanu's breakdown when he meets the dog was v moving, also his "not just a dog" rant was cool

haven't read thread but i approve of John Wick.

despite the egregious teal & orangeness and the aggravating lens flare, john wick was fucking great.

it seems like hes totally the best at killing people but also conflicted and its gritty

he is the best at killing people, it's true, but he's not really conflicted about it - those motherfuckers killed his dog and he will get his revenge. it's about as straightforward as it could be and it's too deadpan gleeful about it to be gritty. it's really a stripped-to-the-bone mash note to fight choreography.

i've been trying to understand why my crush on keanu reeves has increased exponentially over the last five years and i think it's because the dream of the 90s is alive in him
