I could definitely see this. Fucking Tiny Tim could have blown Zeppelin off the stage at the concert where they filmed Song Remains the Same. Plus Grand Funk were pretty spectacular live.

Zep was still pretty tight live in 71 I think. I'm sure Grand funk was too.

The Van Halen tour is legendary for breaking up the Ozzy era band. The only people that say Bang blew Sabbath off the stage are the guys in Bang. BOC vs. Sabbath would have been a sight to see.

Next up was the surprise of the night. Gentle Giant came out and played the most complex, pristine music I had ever heard or seen performed live. They played about 32 different instruments between the five of them. The roadies stood at the sides of the stage and just threw them instruments constantly. Their songs were long and drawn out. They just didn't connect with the audience. When someone hollered out for Robert Fripp to introduce the band, he dismissed the request by saying, "That is not important, however what is important is the name of our next song"
