If this conversation were in your breakfast bowl and you could not finish it, would Garth be along to clean it up for you?

People who believe their lives are stories tend to behave like the people who surround them are characters in their stories and not living autonomous human beings. This is some major bullshit.

honestly did you just make this up because this feels way too real, know at least a dozen or so people that have claimed some assemblage of this to self-describe

love "digital content specialist" i have definitely seen this as a job title quite frequently. anything from clerical web bullshit to high-level strategic positions

u2 removal machine (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Friday, 24 October 2014 20:06 (nine years ago) link

carrot is a great cooking ingredient, has almost as much positive impact on a lot of dishes as garlic or onion but gets way less credit

my jaw left (Hurting 2), Friday, 24 October 2014 20:08 (nine years ago) link

garlic >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>...carrot

i am sorry but that is the truth as I know it

have to disagree, carrots are great but i don't always want that root vegetable sweetness in my food

marcos, Friday, 24 October 2014 20:10 (nine years ago) link

sarahell otm.

marcos, Friday, 24 October 2014 20:11 (nine years ago) link

probably 90% of the dishes i cook start with onions & garlic. 10% AT BEST start with carrots.

marcos, Friday, 24 October 2014 20:12 (nine years ago) link

carrots are nice and all but they ain't the "workhorse of the kitchen" that onions or garlic are.

marcos, Friday, 24 October 2014 20:12 (nine years ago) link

well they are, but only in the sense imo that a punchy temperamental genius creator like a garlic or an onion needs a watercarrier like carrot just to disperse the beauty

Since we're talking about fictional jobs, I have a friend from high school who woke up one morning and decided that she was not, in fact, a play director/educator of high school students, but instead an intuitive life coach. I have not yet had the heart to ask her how that's working out for her since this also coincided with a divorce and a surprise baby with the dude she cheated on her husband with and I suspect Other Issues may have contributed to this revelation.
