Enh, even the biscuits were teh suck last time I was at Red Lobster. Everything was horrible. Contenderizer bringing the truth:

they tasted like movie theater butter™ flavor salt dough.

i ordered fish. it tasted like it had been bathed in bleach. was sick for days.

I'm a huge wuss when it comes to eating fish or seafood at anywhere not really really good, either has to be like a reputable beachside clam shack or a nice restaurant. Whereas I will eat pretty much any other garbage anywhere.

They now sell giant boxes of Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix, no reason for anyone to ever have to visit one again.

Curious to see whether anyone will refer to the activist investors as "Tuscan Raiders"

my best friend in high school frequently offered me rides to Red Lobster so that I could buy a meal while he ate free cheese biscuits.

Is there a red lobster in NYC? Confession: I have actually never been to one, let alone had these cheddar biscuits you speak of.

o wait looks like there is even one in Queens Boulevard, which I should know since I drive past it at least once a week. Hmm.

There are multiple olive gardens & TGI Fridays and there's even a Denny's with a cocktail mixologist

Makes me sad, all these flyover state tourists coming to NYC being like "Too many restaurants to choose from, what should we do? Let's go somewhere we trust"

yeah I knew about those, just couldn't remember if there was a red lobster

I have been to the Dallas BBQ in Chelsea, fwiw. I mean, I've been to many, many different restaurants in this category in my life, just not many in NYC, and never Red Lobster.

Was almost tempted to eat at the Dallas BBQ once late night when most other places ewre closed

Ended up eating at a polish joint that's supposedly well known as a reliable dive

I guess if you're like, a casually dressed middle class family from Oklahoma with four kids, you might not feel comfortable going to some trendy tasting menu hotspot, and it can be really hard to find moderately priced sit-down places in Manhattan these days that don't suck, especially around areas like Times Square.

My family ate at the Texas Embassy Cantina in London

Don't go to Red Lobster, just mix up some clarified garlic butter and drink it. Essentially the same experience.

Not sure about cheese biscuits or breadsticks, but I went to an Olive Garden in Southern California for the first time last year for a memorial meal for my sister-in-law who I loved, with relatives I hadn't yet met, and it was such a great experience
