(or at least, I have)

Dr Morbius, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 17:26 (sixteen years ago) link

i remember each and every one of those references.

i'm losing my mind and i don't care
i see donna everywhere
down by the lakeside
in a lawn chair
donna donna everywhere...

i think i still have my free ned's atomic dustbin t-shirt

gabbneb, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 17:57 (sixteen years ago) link

i like ned's atomic dustbin

Catsupppppppppppppp dude 茄蕃, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 17:58 (sixteen years ago) link

yep..me too...though i am no sort of match for hstencil's trivia dome

i just brought a handful of mixtapes from that era from my parent's attic...ultra vivid scene? my enthusiasm for that makes my adolesence seem fairly misguided

(i only recently tossed my ned's t-shirt --it was black x-large terrible fruit of the loom sort of cotton..with puffy yello logo on front puffy pink "kill your television" on back -- but still have god fodder about and some live show on cassette)

"he turned around and sh(t)ook me by the hair"

bb, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 18:02 (sixteen years ago) link

oh, the yep meaning i followed all those references

bb, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 18:03 (sixteen years ago) link

i have two tmj cassettes, but sadly neither have donna everywhere.

lauren, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 18:03 (sixteen years ago) link

if memory serves, one of them cuts off because i taped the maxi single of paperboy's ditty over it.

lauren, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 18:11 (sixteen years ago) link

i have donna everywhere on cd somewhere but there are about 7 boxes containing around a thousand cds that i never unpacked when i moved into this apartment a year and a half ago. i'm almost certain it's in one of those. also in there is the dramarama disc with "haven't got a clue" on it (vinyl?).

chicago kevin, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 18:19 (sixteen years ago) link

shit, hotboxing is one of the unpacked cds however. too bad i can't listen to it.

chicago kevin, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 18:22 (sixteen years ago) link

which album was last cigarette on? i think i have that somewhere...(probably the rent's attic) and some live thing taped of the radio (they used to play some live set every wed night on the alt station

bb, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 18:27 (sixteen years ago) link

PINCHBECK PREDICTS VOOOOOREDOMS DRUM LAYOUT -- EERIE

As far as I know, cd2 won't be available any other way. Its basically a 3 track EP ( If you can call 42 minutes an EP ) with the main feature being track 2's 35 minute live track recorded in 1998 at the Outdoor Free Concert in Osaka. Track 1 is a mad peice of music, it sounds like a broken ( sorry... remixed! ) version of track 2 of the album with the sound overlays in tact but the main track reduced from 5:22min to 1:28min. Online shop Forced Exposure records had this qoute from the Boredoms - "the first tune of the bonus tracks CD is what we gained from the second number in the original album which data inside the computer was accidently started running on the first day of a new year in Mayan callender (7th June '98)." Track 3 is more on the ambient side with birds tweeting and soft vocals and loose percussion, it sounds like a remix of track 3 of the album but without the drum pattern..
