i don't know how much i like threads that are all "let's all speculate about how this large and amorphously-defined group appreciates culture!"

i mean any "rock fan" who has louvin brothers, public enemy, red headed stranger, SAW vol 2., and a love supreme in their collections probably listens to a bunch of music. i mean, what are the rock albums in this hypothetical fan's collection? are they any less canonical? these are all just really famous albums that lots of people like

that was totally my token freaktronica record! i bought it. played it once. don't think i ever bought anything else from that era like that. i liked the videos.

i bought that famous dj shadow record too. played it once. did well on ebay with both those records.

i also did really well selling my vinyl copies of moon safari and the dr. octagon record. also played once. near mint! moon safari sounded cool on vinyl.

this album is 100% solid fucking country gold, the Louvins are giants of the genre
