^ i know. on IM w/her is prolly where i get half of my stoopslang. whatevs, totes, chilax, rawsome. she adds -y to everything too. from her flickr: blossomy, old timey, stripey, signy, thingy, smushy. kinda how pee wee herman used to say, "mmmm. these pancakes are pancakey"

jhøshea, Friday, 25 May 2007 02:31 (sixteen years ago) link

i think adding -y to the ends of words is a-ok. a friend of mine asked of a notorious local criminal "why does he have to be so stabby?" and it was high-fives all around

river wolf, Friday, 25 May 2007 03:21 (sixteen years ago) link

-y is great! so is freakin abbreviation srsly whatevs yeah i've said it
LOL VICE

rrrobyn, Friday, 25 May 2007 03:24 (sixteen years ago) link

-y is great!

it can be great but it's too often overused. what i hate hate HATE is the "-y +mc" thing. like calling someone "Drinky McDrunkpants" or whatever. pet peeve that drives me nuts.

unrelated: i just mistyped something and found what name i will use should i ever have to go underground and assume an alias: pete peeve.

chicago kevin, Friday, 25 May 2007 03:41 (sixteen years ago) link

ah yeah well anything overused ends up being not great :/
i found the 'y + mc funny the other day when someone used it in novel way, but i hadn't heard it in a long time

rrrobyn, Friday, 25 May 2007 04:21 (sixteen years ago) link

i'm lebanese but my personality is amerrrican. i like america, just not american trash. american woman jabbing ppl and screaming "faggot" in a hotel cuz she got embarrassed = american trash. faggot shouldn't be treated lightly, and neither should arguing against it - because wherever you or i may live or whoever we may know, there are still plenty of ppl living in plenty o places that do use the word faggot and the like to great detriment.

though the plain and simple notion of human equality shouldn't need a medal to encourage it (self-righteousness etc.), still these days, as a gay man, i find it worthy of praise.
