I have called now twice and asked to have MY call returned after being on hold collectively over 1 hour. This little order has caused more aggravation and time and energy than it may be worth but at this point we are furious with the complete fumbling by Saks of this simple and small order. As a gift for our wedding a friend gave us a Saks $25 gift cards knowing that we live in SF and like (or used to like) Saks. It was IMPOSSIBLE to use the card online so the order was placed via phone with a helpful person. The troubleshooting attempt and order placement took well over 1 hour. It was a gift for a chemo friend of ours, requested and paid for express shipping, and was to be delivered directly to our friend.

1. The item (simple brownies) was shipped 10 days after the order was placed.
2. The item was shipped to US (and without the noted gift card AND with the $ included)
3. To top this whole ridiculous process off, the brownies were so old and dry (perhaps because they had been packed over a week before shipping).

We have submitted a dispute via Paypal for our "portion" of the purchase and consider the $25 gift card a total waste. Of course not a soul from Saks has called back in response to our several calls to "customer service".

Again, this is a small order ($42.50) but you could not have handled it from beginning to this point any worse. We would like, in addition to our Paypal monies back, the water $25 gift card back. We will donate it to a charity of our choice as it is now truly the principle of the truly abysmal customer service and execution experienced. Even finding this email address was an effort (not on the site).

Why in shit would you pay $5 for a plate of plain pasta!? You could cook that yrself and $5 would buy two packets of the stuff and last all week.

Im not talking about a pasta dish. Why anyone would buy a serve of plain boiled pasta with nothing on it is what gets me. Whats the freaking point, unless I dunno you're staying in yr car or some weird room with no kitchen.

Which is fucking revolting, I might add, but it wasn't plain.

It might be for a kid, but given the number of times this person orders plain pasta for quadruple the cost of an entire box of pasta you can make in ten minutes at home, it just doesn't make any sense.

• He's disabled.

• He doesn't know how to cook spaghetti to make it as soft and refined as Joey D.

• He's lazy.

so i keep getting things for the dude who was supposed to receive that breakup letter, and one of them had his phone number on it. so i called it, and he actually answered.

he claims he signed up for my exact gmail address (no dots or anything) two years ago and got it. says he hasn't received any of my stuff and seemed genuinely concerned that i was getting some of his. either gmail has some weird bug with their validation or he actually has a different address but forgets what it is when he gives it to stewardesses (as i learned the above lady is).

i asked him to send me a screenshot of the top of his inbox to verify, or to send something to my email and see who gets it, but he hasn't responded (hopefully because he realized his mistake and feels dumb).

gmail ignores dots in the address, anyway, so it wouldn't matter

if my adventures in misdirected email have taught me anything, it is that people have no idea what their own email address is
