...and i can report that i totally love 'no heroes'

and i agree with scott about the pacing of the album. so much strong material towards the end.
also, the first 5 tracks go by in the blink of the eye - still obviously devastating. but then the title track totally kicks your ass left, right and centre. it's one of those classic converge tracks with hook all over it.

'trophy scars' recalls 'last light', which was my favourite track from 'you fail me'. totally anthemic and 100% heart.

Saw them tonight. They were great. They led into "Dark Horse" (opening cut from Axe To Fall) with a drum solo, during which the bassist yelled at some insufficiently appreciative dude in the pit "Give it up! You can't do that shit!"

i heard some record the other day that i thought was really awesome but now i forgot what it was after hearing this

better on every new listen. absolutely brutal guitar playing on "sadness comes home". the man is a beast.

and when i say brutal, i mean brutal with deft hand, pinpoint control and finesse. that guitar line from start to finish, solo included, is the stuff of genius.

once a week or so i figure out one of the lyrics and the record gets heavier

maybe they'll add it on; the last album came in a deluxe version that added 2-3 tracks

this record is very good on first listen but man it's a lot to take in
